教学目标
Learning objectives 1. Master the grammar of modal verb should. 2. Understand how to use reflexive pronouns. 3. Know how to care for others, express health problems and give advice in English situations.
教学内容
教学重点: 1.Key vocabulary : herself, bandage, press, sick, knee, nosebleed 2.Key sentences :1. He should lie down and rest. 2. She should take her temperature. 3. You shouldn't eat so much next time. 4. Should I put some medicine on it 5. Someone hurt his knee/cut himself. 教学难点: How to express reflexive pronoun and give some advice according to the illnesses and accidents.
教学过程
Step One Lead-in Show some pictures.Ask the students :What’s the matter with you ?and What should
you do Let them answer the questions.
Step Two Grammar focus 1. Let the students read the sentences in Grammar focus by themselves. 2. Let the students think it over:How to use “should” and “herself” .They can discuss together and summarize by themselves.
3. Do some exercises in 4a and check the answers.
Step Three 4b and 4c
1.Circle the best advice for these health problems. Then add your own advice in 4b.
2. One student mimes a problem. The other students in your group guess the problem and give advice.Call some groups to show their tasks. 3. Summarize the grammar points and let them recite them. . Step Four Section B 1a-1c 1. Show two pictures and ask the illnesses and advice.Then let them have a free talk.
2. The students have known what they should do and they can give some advice.When these accidents happen,what should you do Put the actions in order.
3. The teacher asks what happened to them according to the two pictures and the places where they are. 4. Listen to the school nurse. Check( √ )the problems you hear. 5. Listen again. Write the letter of each treatment next to the problems you checked
in the chart above.
6. Role-play a conversation between the nurse and the teacher. Use the information in
1b and 1c.Then call several parts to show their conversations. If it necessary, give
them emotional education.
Step Five Homework 1. Recite the conversations in Grammar Focus. 2. Write sentences about health problems and give advice. 3. Do the exercises. 教学反思 我认为,英语教学的目的主要是培养学生掌握并运用英语的能力,英语教学 应该为学生创设他们喜闻乐见的合适的情境,给予他们充分的时间和空间,让他 们成为学习的主人。作为一名英语教师,首先应该激发学生学习英语的兴趣和积 极性,增强学生的记忆效率,以达到最终的教学目的。如果一味地采用传统的英 语教学方法讲授语言规则,让学生脱离语言环境去做大量机械、枯燥乏味的知识 训练,学生学习兴趣当然不高。因而,在本单元中,我设计了很多活动,让学生 在情景中练习 what's the matter 增强学习的兴趣,锻炼了口语表达能力。 在活动伊始,我过高的估计学生的词汇量口语表达能力。大多数学生无法在 头脑中对生活中的“疾患 ”没有认识,不能用英语完整地表达出来,有的甚至对 书本中出现过的“背疼,手臂疼 ”等复述都存在困难。因此,活动的设计以及活 动中出现的意外状况都需要设计者在之前进行周密思考及在课堂上的变通。
