教学目标
1. 通过联系已知经验,能够预测听力内容,听懂相关话题的简短对话,提高运用策略的 意识。 2. 通过谈论“外星人事件 ”学习情态动词 might/could/must +be +doing 的用法,会使用 情态动词推测正在发生的事。 3. 通过对话练习,能够使用所学目标语言,根据图片信息 ,推断故事的情节发展。提 高思维的批判性和逻辑性。
教学内容
教学重点: Learn and master how to make inferences using “must”, “might”, “could” and “can’t” . Learn to talk about mysteries and improve students ’ ability of listening and speaking. 教学难点: Enable students to talk about mysteries using “must”, “might”, “could” and “can’t” .
教学过程
Step 1 Free talk 1. Have you heard about a UFO 2. What do you think of it 3. What is usually in a UFO 设计意图:通过以上三个问题,引导学生思考:在我们生活中出现外星人,可能会发生什 么情况。 Step 2 Prediction 1. What’s happening A UFO could be landing on the earth. 2. Who are they And what’s happening to them The alien could be running after the man. 3. What’s the man doing Why does he wear a suit 设计意图:通过观察课本上的三幅图片,推测正在发生的事情,激发学生的学习热情并引 导学生积极探索“外星人事件 ”。 Step 3 Pre-listening 1. Look at the pictures. Then use the words in the box to write a sentence about each picture. a. A UFO is landing. b. An alien is running after a man. c. The man is running, looking afraid. 2. 设计意图:三个听力练习,难度设计上层层递进、由易到难。首先,让学生了解故事的大 致情节;其次,让学生推测接下来可能发生的事情;最后,让学生了解故事中的男士和女士 对神秘事件的各种猜测,并最终解开谜团。 Step 5 Presentation ★表示对目前情况进行推测时,要用“情态动词+do”。 eg. It must be a UFO. It must be an alien. ★表示对正在发生的事情进行推测时,要用“情态动词+be+doing”。 eg. He could be running for exercise. You can do: Make a conversation with your friend to describe something strange around you by using could/ might/must be doing. 设计意图:设计分层作业,满足不同层次学生的需求。
