一、单元整体概览
(一)单元主题
本单元紧紧围绕问路指路这一主线,属于“人与社会”主题范畴。学习运用“Is there a... near here Go down ... and turn right at ….”等句型进行问路和指路。通过学习,使学生在与人交际时能恰当地运用礼貌用语,并能在别人需要帮助时积极热心地给予帮助;能充分了解自己所居住的社区和城市的设施情况,在给人指路时给予简洁明确的指引。
课标分析
根据新课标,要求学生能在教师的引导和启发下,理解简答的语言材料,领悟其基本意义,运用所学语言与他人交流,传递信息,叙述事件,实现基本的沟通与交流。能根据获取的信息,提出自己的想法,有条理地表达自己的观点,学会换位思考,尝试多角度认识世界。能在教师的引导和启发下,基本认识到英语学习的重要性,兴趣逐渐增强。五年级的学生在教师的引导下,对英语学习表现出积极性和初步的自信心。能听懂有关熟悉话题的语段和简短的故事。能与教师或同学就熟悉的话题(如学校、家庭生活)交换信息。能读懂小故事及其他文体的简单书面材料。能参照范例或借助图片写出简单的句子。能参与简单的角色扮演等活动。能尝试使用适当的学习方法,克服学习中的困难。能意识到语言交际中存在文化差异。

本单元第二课时包括Picture story, Pronunciation, Fill in the blanks三部分。
学情分析
五年级英语在小学英语教学中起着承上启下的作用,既是四年级的衍生又是六年级的铺垫。我们的学生虽然已有四年的英语学习经验,但还有以下一些问题需要解决。部分学生学习兴趣不是很高,个别的学生甚至对学习有厌恶感,同时,许多学生还是为学习而学习,谈不上兴趣问题,回家不会学习,无正确的学习方法,不知如何看书,学习态度谈不上十分端正,回家以后巩固时间很少,且缺乏有效的巩固手段,练的机会明显不足。部分学生学习的目的性不是很强,导致学习习惯不好,学习无明确的计划,有作业就写,无作业就玩。老师布置的作业不能按时完成,回家看书也只是应付家长,作业不能很好完成。
二、单元内容分析
本单元内容是问路指路,设计了两个课时:
第一课时包括Look, listen and say, Ask and answer; Design your city and talk about it; Let’s chant 四部分:
Look, listen and say部分以一对外国夫妇在城市中向 Bob 询问附近哪里有书店和超市为语言背景,呈现并学习核心句型“Is there a.. near here Go down... and turn ... at the … The … is on your left/next to it.”以及交际语言“Excuse me. Thank you. You are welcome.”
Ask and answer 根据街区图进行看图问答的语言练习活动,突出重点语言知识的表达与运用,培养学生在实际情境中解决问题的能力。
Design your own city and talk about it 部分设计城市街区图并运用其进行信息交流,通过合理设计以及询问回答的活动,再一次巩固、操练所学句型“Is there…. Yes, there is.”,将所学语言与生活情景结合运用。
Let's chant 部分采用歌谣的形式,进一步巩固了问路与指路语言,要求学生能够说唱。歌谣朗朗上口,形式活泼,趣味性强。
第二课时包括Picture story, Pronunciation, Fill in the blanks三部分:
Picture story 部分围绕“问路”话题,设计趣味故事阅读活动,富有意义。在巩固所学语言的基础上,拓展学习功能句型“It's far from here. You can take the bus.”
Pronunciation部分学习字母组合ou在单词中的发音规律,并能根据发音规则读出符合 ou 发音规则的其他单词。
Fill in the blanks部分围绕问路与指路的话题展开,要求学生能读懂短文,根据图意和文意选择合适的单词或词组并填到对话的合适位置。
