To many students, joining social media “circles” is now more important than making new friends in real life. And it’s easy. If you have a mobile phone, you can download(下载) many apps such as Weibo, QQ and WeChat.
“I love to check my friends’ updates(更新). I also enjoy news and jokes shared on social media,” said Wang Wei, 14, from a middle school in Shenzhen. While enjoying these, Wang makes himself be away from real life. “I love playing the plane-shooting game on WeChat, but have no interest in playing chess with my classmates,” said Wang.

Zhu Yanfu was born in July, 1933. He joined the army at the age of 14. He joined in hundreds of battles(战役), injured(受伤) ten times, and got 47 times operations(手术). He lost both of his arms, both of his legs and his left eye. His right eye can’t see clearly. After that, He tried to practiced taking care of himself again and again. He made it 8 months later!
After he was away from the army, he went back to his hometown, a small village in Shandong. In 1957, he worked as a village Party Secretary(支书). After 25 years’ hard work, Zhu Yanfu finally turned a poor mountain village into a rich one together with the villagers.
After retiring(退休), he began to write his own experience into a book. He never went to school. He couldn’t know many words, so he looked up the dictionary many times.
