二、阅读理解(每小题2分,共10分)
记一次日出
Last summer holiday, my parents took me to Japan for a trip. I was happy because it was my first time to visit the country. The most unforgettable experience was watching the sunrise.
In the morning, I was asked to get up before 4 am and take a car to the foot of the mountain. It was so dark that I could not see the top of the mountain. I was sleepy and didn't have enough energy to climb.
We carried flashlights(手电筒) in one hand and walking sticks in the other, walking towards the mountain step by step. Sometimes I wanted to give up because it is hard for me to exercise if I don't have enough sleep. But my dad encouraged me not to give up. I could see the beautiful sunrise if I continued climbing. We rested and ate some chocolate for energy when we felt tired.
At last, I finally reached the top of the mountain. The sun was rising bit by bit. The sky was getting brighter and brighter. Suddenly, the sun lit up the horizon(地平线) like a ball of fire.
It was surrounded(包围) by gold, which made the clouds colorful. I was surprised by the sight and felt excited. I thought it was worth getting up early to watch the sunrise. I had never seen a more wonderful sight than this.
This experience taught me that I should not give up when I meet difficulties.

三、 任务型阅读(每小题1分,共5 分)
In the past, whenever I was working towards a goal, I would run into one problem over and over again. For the first few days, I would be excited to do the work. But it never lasted for a long time. Gradually, I fell into a lazy situation.
After years of efforts, I found out the best way to overcome this problem: use the power of responsibility(责任). Generally, to push ourselves to complete a task, we need to tell the task to other people. We can tell it to those people who we trust.
Take new year's resolutions(决定) as an example. People set good goals: don't smoke or eat less junk food. But they usually give up in a few days. This is because they only depend on themselves. So, after the rush of excitement at the beginning, people fall back into old habits quickly.
A much better way to turn your new year's resolution into a success would be to look for a few partners(伙伴) to supervise(监督) you. For example, you could start a small group of about 3-4 people who all have new year's goals. Take a weekly or monthly report to share your progress, results, and next goals with each other. In this way, you can create a system in your environment that helps you to stay active.
If you have a goal you want to achieve, make sure to tell someone as your partner. In return, you could be a partner for them. Then you create a good partnership that will speed(加速) up your steps to success.
1. After years of efforts, I found out ________________: use the power of responsibility.
2. People set good goals but they usually ________________.
3. A much better way to turn your new year's resolution into a success would be to ________________.
4. You can ________________ in your environment that helps you to stay active.
5. If you want to achieve a goal, tell your partner and in return you could ________________ for them.
