“It is just too hot!” many people were saying. One thing everybody was talking about was that there was not enough green cover. Trees are known as the lungs of the Earth. They are able to cool the air in the areas in which they grow.

Over the past five years, they have created 14 urban forests. The forests have not only helped bring down summer temperatures in Karachi but have also attracted many animals to build their homes in them. The trees have even provided a place for people to relax.

“Harbin is famous as an ice city, but I’m amazed by the musical events in this city,” said a tourist from Jiangsu Province. In Harbin, it is common to see people playing violins and saxophones, beating African drums or dancing to music at bus stops and public squares. People there enjoy music and have good taste. They are both performers and listeners.
Music is deeply rooted in the history of Harbin. For centuries, ethnic groups (少数民族) such as the Hezhe and the Oroqen built up a rich collection of folk (民间的) songs and dances. In the 20th century, the development of the Chinese Eastern Railway brought Western music to Harbin. Many European musicians moved to Harbin, making it one of the first cities in China to embrace (拥抱) Western classical music. Many of China’s leading classical musicians were trained in Harbin.

A long time ago, people were very different from the way we are now. For example, if you find a really old house somewhere, you will see that the doors are usually much lower than they are today. Why Because hundreds of years ago, people were shorter. Over time, the human body has changed a lot.
Can we expect the human body to keep changing in the future For sure, and the main reason is that we have more and more technology (科技), and it’s changing how we live. What kind of changes can we expect Well, no one can be 100 percent sure, but here are some possible changes.
In the future, people will probably be even taller. Most of us now have much better food than people in the past, so we grow more. But we will get weaker (弱的) in more than one way. Our muscles (肌肉) will not be as strong as now, because we won’t do lots of physical work.
We are already using our feet less, and our hands more (think about cars and computers). So we can expect that our legs will get shorter and our feet smaller. At the same time, our fingers (手指) will get longer. And our fingers and eyes will both get better, because they will have to do more work together.
What about the mouth It will get smaller, because we needn’t talk so much with the help of technology. And last but not least—people won’t have much hair on their bodies as now, because we don’t need it to keep ourselves warm anymore.
Will all these things happen And if so, when These are questions that no one can answer for sure.

A.In the future, human’s legs will get longer and the feet smaller.
B.In the future, people will get stronger in more than one way.
C.In the future, people’s appearance (外貌) will be different from that of today’s people.
D.In the future, people will probably be even taller.
