Part C Retelling
----- How to take notes
Learning Objective
Review the requirements of Part C;
Consolidate the skills of predicting stories by using key words and outline;
Learn to gather information and retell it based on the 5 elements of the story.
1.来源:英文小故事;
2.提示的梗概和关键词足以体现故事情节,但不能完全完成复述任务;
3.词汇:一般无超纲词汇,而且大多是积极词汇;
4.情节较为简单,人物一般不超过3个,不需要升华或总结寓意;
5.一般以短句为主,第一人称对话较少,便于复述。
PartC 题型命题特点
1.情节完整性问题
极少数考生只能说出关键词,无法说出完整的有意义的句子,多数考生在复述时普遍会遗漏部分关键信息点和重要细节,造成故事内容不完整,情节不连贯。
2.信息准确性问题
相当部分考生出现信息张冠李戴或词汇细节理解不准确的问题,如: he和she混用问题。
3.语法方面
谓语动词最常见的问题是时态错误,一般过去时的叙述常常用了一般现在时。
4.流畅性方面
复述过程中犹犹豫豫,回忆思考的停顿时间较长,出现中文语气词;反复回到句首重新开始讲述或重复句尾的几个单词。
5.态度和技巧方面
(1)消极、负面、放弃的态度和做法
(2〉受外界干扰,心理素质不过关。在接近录音结束时,考场内其他考生基本讲完,就将自己的声量降低或者甚至不继续说。
(3〉设备操作不当,录音中出现较大的噪声。

Mary was upset recently. It started when her baby brother Tom was born and took away all her parents' attention.
Today was Mary's twelfth birthday. But for most of the day, Mary thought it the worst birthday. Her bad day began at breakfast when her parents found Tom having a fever. They became very worried and they spent the whole morning taking care of him. Till Mary left for school, neither of her parents mentioned anything about her birthday. What's
worse, at lunch time, Mary did not find her lunchbox in her bag.“ Mom must have forgotten my lunchbox ,"she said to herself. In the evening, when Mary was back home, she opened the front door, only to find the house quiet. She thought her parents must have been staying in the hospital with Tom and forgotten her birthday.
Mary felt so disappointed that she almost cried. Just then, there was a burst of voices. “Surprise!” Her parents jumped out, taking out a big birthday cake and singing the birthday song. Even Tom was wearing a tiny party hat. Now, Mary knew that her parents had never forgotten her birthday. It was this moment that Mary felt it was a happy birthday.
