It was a special day for me. A meeting was held in my class today with the theme of my volunteer work. Different students have joined in different volunteer activities. Wang Li volunteers at an animal hospital every Sunday afternoon while Li Mei cares for the old in a old people’s home. As for me, I volunteers to read books for children in school’s reading club.
The reason why I choose to be a volunteer is that it’s meaningful to help others. First, it gives me a strong feeling of satisfaction when I see the looks of joy on the children’s faces. It’s so wonderful a time when I with them that I really enjoy myself. Besides, my dream is to be a teacher. In the reading club, I can know more about how to look after children. Volunteering here is a dream come true for me. I can do what I love to do and help others at the same time.
Volunteering our time to help others is a good way to spend our free time. I really hope more people will do the volunteer work.
