《课程标准解读》
单词又称语汇,是一种语言中所有词和词组的综合。词是语言的建构材料,也是最小的能够独立运用的语言单位。词汇中的任何词语都是通过一定的句法关系和语义关系与其他词语建立起一定联系的,并在语境中传递信息。
【知识讲解】
die out灭亡;逐渐消失
(1)die away  (声音、光线等)逐渐消失
die of/from ... 因……而死
die down 减弱;平息
(2)be dying for 很想要;渴望
be dying to do sth. 极想干某事
2.aware adj.知道;发觉;有……意识的( awareness n.意识;认识)
(1)be/become aware of对……知道、明白;意识到……
be aware that ...意识到/体会到……
as far as I'm aware据我所知
(2)arouse one's awareness of ...唤起某人……的意识
It is a day to raise people's awareness (aware) of protecting the oceans which are vital to human beings.(2022·全国甲卷书面表达)
3.average adj.平均的;正常的;普通的 n.平均数;平均水平v.计算出……的平均数
(1)above/below (the) average高于/低于平均水平
on average平均;一般地
the average of ...……的平均数
(2)average out算出平均数

4.concern vt.涉及;让……担忧 n.担忧;关心( concerned adj.担心的;关切的;有关的;参与的 concerning prep.关于;涉及)
(1)show/express concern for/about 对……表示关心
(2)as far as ...be concerned 就……而言
be concerned about/for 对……担心/关心
be concerned with 与……有关
(3)What concerned (concern) the children was whether Bernard could sell all the popcorn out.

5.adapt vi.适应 vt.使适应;使适合;改编 ( adaptable adj.能适应的;可修改的 adaptation n.适应;改编;改写本)
(1)adapt/adjust (oneself) to 使……适应于
(2)adapt sth. from 根据……改编某物
be adapted for 为……而改写、改编

6.measure n.措施;方法 vt.测量;度量;估量
(1)measure ...by ... 用……来度量……
make ...to sb.'s measure 给某人量身定做……
(2)take measures/steps/action to do sth. 采取措施做某事
