Chinese Poetry Contest
Aimed at promoting traditional Chinese culture and developing students’ love for ancient Chinese poems(动词的过去分词短语作状语), an annual Chinese Poetry Contest was held in our school today, and it was a great success.
Twenty students from different classes took part in the contest. The contestants not only read poems aloud and expressively but also recited poems from memory. The audience were extremely amazed by their performances. Finally, the prizes were awarded to the winners, one first, three second and five third prizes in all.
End as the contest did(as引导让步状语从句), it has had a strong influence. students think activities of this kind are of great advantage and can help them to gain valuable insight into Chinese poetry and traditional culture.
