1.获取和梳理语篇中旧金山中国城的主要信息，如：characteristic/sources/tourist attractions/food等，培养学生的获取语篇信息和表达能力。 2.细读全文，完成表格梳理细节，剖析篇章结构，理清语篇逻辑。 3. 分析语篇的语言表达特征，为有条理地介绍自己居住的城市或旅游宣传搭建语言支架，并鼓励学生Write an introduction to a city/town。
教学内容
教学重点： 1.Master the usage of key words and phrases. 2.Improve the students’ ability to write. 3.Let students master how to write an introduction of a town or city.

Reading Task1:Skimming Read the passage quickly and answer the questions. Task 2: Scanning Scan the passage quickly and find out the famous four sites in the text. Task 3: Detailed-reading Read the passage very carefully and find out the items mentioned in the introduction. Task 4: conclusion conclude the structure of the introduction. Ask the students to skim the passage and answer the following question:1. What kind of passage is it Ask the students to read the passage quickly and find out the famous four sites：Legendary Dragon Gate，Tin How Temple，Bank of Canton，Portsmouth Square. Ask students to read the passage very carefully and find out the items mentioned in the introduction.
