教学过程
Step 1:Warming-up 1.When you see “Space Exploration”, what do you think of 2. Can you describe the picture 3. Who do you think took the picture 4.Why are human beings eager to explore space Step 2: Pre-listening 1. Do you know the names of these astronauts 2. What do you know about these astronauts 3. Do you know any other things about the selection procedure for astronauts Step 2: While-Listening 1.Students listen for the first time, get the detailed information about the requirements for becoming an astronaut and check whether the statements on page 38 are true or false. 2.Students listen for the second time, get the numbers mentioned in the conversation, and then fill in the blanks with the correct numbers in Activity 3 on page 38. 3.Students listen for the third time, and make a list of the requirements for becoming an astronaut. Step.4 Post-listening Students discuss in pairs about whether they would like to be an astronaut in the future and give reasons with information in the interview. Step.6 Homework 1. summarize your speaking text about the requirements for becoming an astronaut; 2.Search the Internet for information about an astronaut that you admire and get more information about how he/she became an astronaut.
