如:原文中用be surprised to do sth.,根据表格题目设计,转换为It is surprising that...。
如:原文中用了...and most people will stay away from an angry face. People don’t like the one with an angry face.

“I wish I had straight hair”, “I’d like to be taller”. At times, we all want to look a bit more like someone else. However, the truth is that no two people in the world are exactly the same—and that’s a good thing. Accepting and feeling good about our bodies is really important because you are more than how you look.
Body confidence is when we accept and behave kindly towards our body. That includes our size and shape, skin color, appearance and any physical (身体的) disabilities.
If you feel positively (积极地) about your body, you are more likely to take care of it. Research has even shown that you are more likely to take part in activities and perform well in school. However, feeling worried about your body could make you do less well at school and even feel down. If you’re spending a lot of time trying to achieve the “perfect” appearance, you will have less time to spend with friends and to make important memories.
To develop a positive body image (形象), try not to talk bad about your own body and other people’s bodies. Try not to pay much attention to appearance. Instead, think about what your body does for you. Treat your body well by eating different kinds of foods, exercising to feel good. And getting plenty of sleep.
Title: Be More Body Confident

English is always changing. The English that people used 500 years ago is very different from the English we use now. New words are entering our language all the time. The words—“Internet”, “email” and “mobile phone” are only twenty years old. The word website is even younger. We only started using it fifteen years ago.
But what causes languages to change
There are many reasons that languages change. One reason is that technology changes. We use new words for new types of technology. Thirty years ago, we only used the word “mouse” to describe an animal. Today, the word “mouse” also means the object you use to control a computer. Languages also change because young people create their own way of talking that is different from their parents. Teenagers often use new slang (俚语)—informal words and phrases—to talk to their friends. Some slang gets forgotten, but other slang words become a part of normal, everyday language. Words like “bus” and “rock music” started as slang, but now they are in the dictionary and everyone uses them.
But is language change a good thing or a bad thing
Some people think that we should stop languages from changing. They think that they need to protect their language or it will die or become worse. There are also organizations trying to protect their language in some countries, such as Indonesia and Spain. However, other people believe that languages change is a natural thing and shouldn’t be stopped. They think that it is normal that languages change over time. They think that languages need to change to stay modern and interesting.
Language Change

The human brain is an interesting and powerful organ, but why it does what it does is a process that we’re still studying. Both the conscious (意识) and subconscious mind have a valuable influence on our behavior, but most of us only know a little about how they work. What follows are something interesting known to have happened or existed (存在) about human psychology (心理):
1. We often think that we’re going to react to a future event in a certain way, only for the event to actually take place and us to find that we reacted (反应) completely differently to how we predicted. We place hope in the ability of a single happening to be able to change everything, but we often find that it doesn’t do much to change how we feel at all.
2. There is a lot of research data (数据) that suggests that following a pattern for 66 days will make it habitual. If, for example, you want to be better about cleaning your home or going to the gym—make a conscious effort to do it for 66 days, after which it will become a habit and will be easier to persevere (this also works for breaking habits).
3. If you’re trying to do something creative, like writing a short story or designing a dress, you’d be better off doing it after a long and stressful day. This is because researchers have found that people can actually show more creativity when their brains aren’t functioning as efficiently (有效的). This is one of the main reasons why people often get great ideas while taking a shower after a hard day’s work.
4. Known as “placebo sleep”, believing that you have slept enough will actually make you feel more refreshed and ready to take on the day’s challenges, even if you actually slept too few or too many hours. On the other hand, always talking about how tired you are will actually make you feel tired and can be harmful to your performance.

18.根据“If, for example, you want to be better about cleaning your home or going to the gym—make a conscious effort to do it for 66 days, after which it will become a habit and will be easier to persevere (this also works for breaking habits).” 故填form or break。
19.根据“This is because researchers have found that people can actually show more creativity when their brains aren’t functioning as efficiently”可知,当人们的大脑运转效率低下时,他们实际上会表现出更多的创造力,因此可知,当你累的时候,你能变得更有创造力,get是系动词,后跟形容词,more creative“更有创造力”。故填more creative。

My name’s Marly. I’m from an Inuit (因纽特人) village in the far north of Canada. Our lives are closely connected to the natural world of the Arctic (北极).
Although we live in regular houses, we stay in temporary shelters called “igloos (冰屋)” when we go hunting. Igloos are made of snow or ice. On the one hand, they are quite warm inside and the building materials can be found everywhere. But on the other, they can only be kept for around 50 days.
We get our food from the nearby sea. Eating a lot of fish and meat keeps our bodies strong so that we can fight the cold. But the disadvantage is that the cold weather makes it difficult for us to grow enough vegetables and fruit.
It’s completely dark here for three months of the year, which is a period called “polar night (极夜)”. So, life can sometimes be boring! But the good thing is, during that time the elders tell us stories about our people. It gives us more time to be with our family and friends.
Nowadays, ships bring tourists to the Arctic. The advantage to this is that it brings more money and job opportunities, but the disadvantage is that our environment is being polluted.
One thing is for sure, though: no matter how things change, our traditions will remain an important part of our lives.

A new study of 8,000 young people in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior shows that although love can make adults live healthily and happily, it is a bad thing for younger people. Puppy love (早恋) may bring stress for young people and can cause depression (忧郁症). The study shows that girls become more depressed than boys, and younger girls are the worst of all. The possible reason for the connection between love and higher risk of depression for girls is “loss of self”. According to the study, this “loss of self”is much more likely to make depression when it happens to girls. Young girls who have romantic relationships usually like hiding their feelings and opinions. They won’t tell that to their parents. Marianm Kaufman, an expert on young people problems, says 15% to 20% young people will have depression during their growing, Try romance often causes the depression. She advises kids not to jump into romance too early. During growing up, it is important for young people to build strong friendships and a strong sense of self. She also suggests parents should encourage their kids to keep close to their friends, attend more interesting school activities and spend enough time with family. Parents should watch for signs of depression—eating or mood changes—and if they see signs from their daughter or son, they need to give up. The good news is that the connection between romance and depression seems to become weak with age. Love will always make us feel young, but only maturity (成熟) gives us a chance to avoid its bad side effects.

Do you find it hard to say no whenever someone comes to you for help Do you feel guilty (内疚的) when you have to tell people that you can’t help them And do you often say “yes” while your true answer is “no” If you answered yes, you may be a “people-pleaser”.
Being friendly and helpful is a good thing. It helps you build lasting friendships. However, going too far—trying to please others even at the cost of your own happiness—can leave you feeling stressed. Luckily, there are some steps that you can take to stop being a people-pleaser.
To start with, it’s important to create “boundaries (边界)”in your life. Be clear about what you really like to do. You can also tell others that they can only come to you during a certain period of time.
When someone asks you for help, tell him or her that you need some time to think about it. Use this time to ask yourself: Do you really want to do this How much time will it take By giving yourself a few minutes, you’ll be better able to decide.
Some people always try to please others because they have little confidence in themselves. They place a low value on their own happiness. In this case, try positive self-talk. Remind yourself that you have dreams, too. You don’t have to give away your time and energy to do things that don’t bring you joy.
Making a sudden and big change can be hard, but you can break huge task up into pieces. You may, for example, text to say no. Then, go straight to the person and say no. Practice this in less difficult situations first, such as talking to a salesperson or ordering at a restaurant. Then try refusing your friends or relatives.
Stopping being a people-pleaser doesn’t mean you have to give up being kind and helpful. You can still do good things—but don’t take away your own happiness.

The warm climate, water plants and wetland in nature reserves provide an ideal living environment for wild animals. This makes them feel like going back to nature. In reserves, people watch and study animals’ living habits, activities and so on.
Now, the AI system in reserves plays an important role in studying wildlife. Instead of using binoculars, people just sit in front of a big screen and then they can watch every move the animals make. The AI system helps in many ways. First, the AI system can tell the differences between different types of wild animals and record the changes in numbers based on their tails, feet and beaks. Second, it can keep recording animal behaviours for researchers day and night, while in the past, such recording could not last. Moreover, it can check unusual behaviours among the animals. If an animal walks or flies in an unusual way or lies on the ground for a while, the system can help find out what happens. So researchers can take quick actions to save it in time. Besides its main functions, the system can help to warn the unauthorized (未经许可的) people away from the protected areas. The AI system is also served as an educational platform (平台) for the people. By using it, visitors can watch and learn more about the wild animals living in the reserve.
However, there are problems. On one hand, the AI system itself sometimes mistakes an animal for another, or a plant for an animal. On the other hand, people still need to go around to get a whole understanding of wildlife because the AI system has not been put in at every corner of the reserves. To further develop the AI system, the reserves are now working with more high-tech companies.

Nowadays, many people in China and Japan are racing against time. They put a lot of value in “being on time”. However, in some countries of the world, people have different opinions on “being on time”.
Germany
Thanks to its industrial past (过去的工业化), in Germany you are expected to arrive at least ten minutes earlier for any planned meeting.
In Germany, being on time is risky (有风险的) enough because your hosts will probably already be there waiting, wondering how on earth(究竟)you could be so stupid. What will you do if anything unexpected happens, like heavy traffic or a sudden rain So, remember to arrive early in Germany.
Saudi Arabia
Some countries care little about time and Saudi Arabia is one of them. It’s because of their long history of desert living where time is not the first thing to think about. It could be that it’s too hot to do anything on time. So don’t expect them to be on time. Moreover, looking at your watch during an event is even considered as bad manners. So don’t get angry with them, either.
Ghana
Most meeting times can be changed, even if an exact time is given, Ghanaians are very relaxed and easygoing(随和的). They think that if everyone is late, then no one is late. After all, what can’t be done today can get done tomorrow. If you find it difficult to deal with, prepare to be unhappy. Otherwise, sit back enjoy the ride.
Russia
Patience is considered a very important quality(品质)in Russian culture but being on time is not. When doing business in Russia, do be on time. Otherwise, it will be considered disrespectful(无礼的). But Russians won’t hold themselves to the same standard(标准). So, again, patience can be key.

Wukong, the Dark Matter Particle Explorer satellite (暗物质粒子探测卫星), is named after Chinese superhero Monkey King. According to Journey to the west, Monkey King has a pair of sharp eyes which can tell the difference between good and evil. The name of the space station, Tiangong, means “Heavenly Palace”. In Chinese myths(神话), this is the home of Tian Di. Now Tiangong Space Station is a home for Chinese astronauts in space. And China welcomes foreign astronauts to Tiangong in order that they can work together.

In Tiamwen, he had the questions about the sky, stars, nature, myths and the real world, showing his hunger for truth. Perhaps the Tianwen missions will end up answering some of Qu Yuan’s questions.
