教学目标
创设校学生会招募《清明上河图》(仿本)展览志愿者的情境,并根据图文简介,学生推测视频及《清明上河图》的画作内容,带着兴趣和问题快速获取相关信息。 学生通过观看视频提取视频主要内容,了解《清明上河图》的基本信息,提高获取信息的能力。 学生通过作为志愿者邀请社会人士参加展览的活动,从不同角度介绍和赏析《清明上河图》,灵活地使用本单元所学知识,对艺术的价值发表自己的看法,培养传播中华艺术的意识和能力。
教学内容
教学重点: 学生能够通过观看视频,获取信息有关《清明上河图》的基本信息。 学生通过观看视频和活动,学习并积累关于中国传统画作《清明上河图》的词汇积累,并能够宣传中国传统文化。
教学难点: 学生通过观看视频并结合本单元所学知识,在作为校艺术展览志愿者的情境下,能够用英语介绍《清明上河图》,树立传播中华艺术的意识,培养用英语讲好中国故事的能力。
教学过程
Lead in Students are encouraged to talk about Qingming Shang He Tu and introduced to act as exhibition volunteers to introduce school’s exhibition of a copy of Qingming Shang He Tu in the context of school’s art exhibtion. Q1: What do you know about Qingming Shang He Tu Q2: What can you see in the picture What else do you expect to see [Purpose] Activate students’ previous knowledge about the Qingming Shang He Tu, and ignite their learning interest. Activity 1: Watch for information Students are expected to read and predict some information about Qingming Shang He Tu. Then complete the exhibition narration with the words and phrases below after watching the video for the first time. [Purpose] Students will be able to grasp the main idea and important information of Qingming Shang He Tu through watching the video clip for the first time. Activity 2: Watch for details Students are required to watch the first part again and focus on the three ways to appreciate the painting.. Q: How can we appreciate Qingming Shang He Tu nowadays [Purpose] Students can catch the details of its history and the ways to appreciate Qingming Shang He Tu through watching the first part of the video again. Students are guided to watch the second part. Take notes about the details that are displayed in the painting. [Purpose] Students learn about the details that are displayed in Qingming Shang He Tu from right to left to get a better understanding of it through watching the second part of the video again. Students are asked to watch the last part of the video and answer the following question. Q: Why is Qingming Shang He Tu regarded as “one of the most admired Chinese paintings of all time” [Purpose] Students learn about the importance and impact of Qingming Shang He Tu through watching the third part of the video again. Activity 3: Practice After getting adequate informtion about the painting. Students are encouraged to act as an exhibition guide and introduce Qingming Shang He Tu with the help of the picture and the following expressions. [Purpose] Students are able to use information learned from the video with the knowledge learned in this unit to practice. Activity 4: Further Thinking Students are guided to appreciate the painting from differnet perspectives. Q: Who do you think the painting is most appealing to Why [Purpose] Students reflect on the importance of the painting and appreciate the painting from different perspectives. Activity 5: Assignment Students are required to write an announcement for this exhibition of a copy of Qingming Shang He Tu to encourage and inform the community members to join us for this unforgettable journey through time. [Purpose] Students write an announcement for the exhibition of a copy of Qingming Shang He Tu combined with the information and language which have been learned in the unit.
