四、阅读理解。
The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is a traditional holiday originating in China. It is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, which falls on different dates of the Gregorian calendar each year. The festival is best known for its dragon boat races, eating zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), and honoring the ancient poet Qu Yuan.
Legend has it that the festival commemorates the death of Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet who drowned himself in the Miluo River as a form of protest against corruption in the government. Villagers rushed out in their boats to save him or retrieve his body, but they were too late. To prevent fish and evil spirits from consuming his body, they beat drums and splashed the water with their paddles, and that is why dragon boat races are held to this day.
During the Dragon Boat Festival, people also enjoy eating zongzi, which are pyramid-shaped glutinous rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. The fillings can vary from sweet to savory and typically include ingredients like pork, salted egg yolk, or red bean paste. Zongzi are believed to have been thrown into the river to feed fish and prevent them from eating Qu Yuan's body.

作文题
My favorite Chinese festival is the Mid-Autumn Festival. I enjoy it because it's a time for families to come together, enjoy delicious mooncakes, and appreciate the beauty of the full moon. We gather in the evening, light lanterns, and share stories while admiring the bright, round moon. It's a special time that brings warmth and joy to everyone involved.
