2. 形容词性物主代词的特点及用法
(1)形容词性物主代词具有形容词的特点,不能单独使用,只能修饰名词作定语,位于名词之前。例如:
our country 我们的国家

her first name 她的名字
(2)有时,在形容词性物主代词与名词之间还可以有形容词作修饰语,但不能使用冠词(a, an, the)或指示代词(this, that, these, those)。例如:
【误】That is his a jacket./That is a his jacket.
【正】That is his jacket. 那是他的夹克。
(3)形容词性物主代词和形容词一起修饰名词时,其顺序为:形容词性物主代词 + 形容词 + 名词。例如:
【误】It is white her ruler.
【正】It is her white ruler. 它是她的白色直尺。
【误】Is this English his book?
【正】Is this his English book? 这是他的英语书吗?
【注意】汉语中的“我妈妈”、“他姐姐”等表达,虽然代词用的是“我”、“他”,但要表达的意思仍是“我的”、“他的”,所以在翻译成英语时,一定要用形容词性物主代词而不能用人称代词。例如:
我妹妹很漂亮。

(1) 这是一个作自我介绍的常用句型,也可以说成I’m Gina. (我叫吉娜)。
(2) name’s是name与is的缩写形式,is是be的第三人称单数形式。
2. Nice to meet you! 很高兴见到你!
两人初次见面或经别人介绍初次相识,常用“Nice to meet you.”来问候。回答时可用“Nice to meet you, too. ”意为“见到你也很高兴”。
3. What’s your name? 你叫什么名字?
(1)What’s是What is的缩写形式。
(2)本句是以what开头的特殊疑问句,用来询问对方的姓名。其答语可以有三种形式:
①直接说姓名;
②My name is /My mane’s +姓名;
③I am/I’m +姓名。
(3)your是形容词性物主代词,意为“你的、你们的”,其后接名词。
【拓展】
(1)询问对方姓名,除了用“What’s your name?”外,还可用“Are you …?” 这个一般疑问句,意为“你是……吗?”,其肯定回答是“Yes, I am.”否定回答是“No, I’m not. ”顺便说一下,如果对方回答“不是”时,应向对方作适当道歉,以表示自己认错人了。

1. 数词
英语中的数词分为基数词和序数词两大类。表示数量“多少”的为基数词;表示顺序“第几”的为序数词。
基数词:zero, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine等;序数词:first (第一),second(第二),third(第三)等。
基数词的常见用法:
(1)表示数字、年龄、日期等;
(2)表示编号;
(3)表示电话号码、门牌号、身份证号等;
(4)表示时刻。
2. What’s your telephone number, Li Xin? 李欣,你的电话号码是多少?
(1)此句型常用来询问对方的电话号码。回答时,可用下面的三种方法:
①It’s +电话号码
②My telephone number is+电话号码
③直接说出电话号码
(2)英语中的电话号码的读法是用基数词按顺序读出即可,按习惯通常将号码分成两段来读,中间稍有停顿。如:278-6269读作two seven eight, six two six nine。当有两个相同的数字连在一起时,可以读作“double + 数字”,如55读作double five。另外,电话号码中的0既可读作zero也可读字母o的音。
(3) 句中的telephone是名词,意为“电话”,可缩写为phone,故此,telephone number也可写成phone number。
【拓展】
句中的telephone也可换成car, room, QQ, ID card等词语,用来询问车牌号、房间号、QQ号、身份证号等。例如:

1. be动词的三种形式
am, is 和are是be动词的一般现在时的三种形式。在使用be动词时,要根据句子的主语而定。通常情况下,遵循下面的规律:
(1) am与第一人称代词I连用;
(2) is与第三人称单数代词he, she, it、指示代词this, that以及表示单数的人或物连用;
(3) are与第二人称单数、所有复数代词以及由and连接的并列成分连用。
为了方便记忆,特编写如下口诀:
我(I)用am,你(you)用are, is连着他(he)、她(she)、它(it)。单数名词用is,复数名词全用are。例如:
I’m Jenny. 我叫珍妮。
Are you Ms. Brown? 你是布朗女士吗?
He/She is my teacher. 他/她是我的老师。
Bob is a student. 鲍勃是一名学生。
They are my parents. 他们是我的父母。
Alice and Cindy are friends. 艾丽斯和辛迪是朋友。
It is my cup.它是我的杯子。
2. be动词的缩写
am, is和are可以与句子的主语(名词或代词)以及否定词not合写在一起,构成缩略形式用在句中。常见的缩略形式有:
I am →I’m, he is →he’s, that is →that’s, you are →you’re, is not →isn’t, what is →what’s, name is →name’s
【注意】
am, is, are与其主语的缩写形式只能用在句中,并且它们之后还有其它词。如果作为以be动词开头的一般疑问句的简略的肯定答语时,不能缩写在一起。
另外,am not没有缩略形式;this is没有缩略形式。

1. What’s your first name? 你叫什么名字?
(1)英美人的姓名与中国人的姓名不同,英美人的姓名通常是名字在前面,姓氏在后面,这恰恰与中国人的姓名顺序相反。如:Gina Smith,Gina是名,Smith是姓。在顺序上我们可以看出Gina这个名在第一位,因此英语中的“名”叫first name,也可说成given name。“姓”可说成last name或family name。下面的形式可以帮你记忆:

(2) first是序数词,意为“第一”,first对应的基数词是one。序数词表示顺序,前面通常使用定冠词the或形容词性物主代词修饰。例如:

【拓展】
(1) 一部分英美人还有一个中间名(middle name),如William Jefferson Clinton (William是first name, Jefferson是middle name, Clinton是last name),我们可以用first name + middle name + last name这一结构来简单记忆。
(2) 中国人的姓名直接用汉语拼音表示,“姓”在前面,“名”在后面。书写时,姓和名的首字母都要大写,中间要有一个字母的间距;当是复姓时,必须将姓的两个字的拼音连在一起书写,第二个字的首字母不大写。例如:

(1) in是介词,意为“在……里”。此外,in作介词时还有“用”的意思。
