(2024·河北邯郸·三模)I was struggling earlier in the year, even though I’m a(n) 151 person by nature.
The entire world seemed to have come to a stop all of a sudden. I was 152 with worry about my family and paying the bills, and whether life would ever be the same again.
Then, one evening I went outside and 153 . The sky was dark and the stars were shining so brightly that I almost held my breath. As I stood under that splendid ceiling, I was filled with 154 .
I really wanted to find out more about them. Suddenly, I remembered I’d 155 an app on my phone a couple of months earlier, which 156 all the stars and planets. Together with my daughters, I raced to the upstairs, where we had a perfect 157 of the night sky. Using the app, we were excited to 158 that bright white star hanging over the horizon was Venus. Then we looked past Betelguese, a dying red supergiant star 700 times the size of Earth, and many more. 159 , the world no longer seemed like an unfamiliar place. It 160 me that the Earth had been around for 4. 5 billion years and had experienced things much more 161 . That realization 162 brought my worries into a much broader perspective (眼界).
Plus, that twinkling night sky was just so beautiful — I felt happier and calmer just looking at it. It became our 163 to sit at the window every evening, gazing at the stars. Not only did it help us 164 the reality, but for half an hour each day we got to 165 outside our four walls.

(2024·湖南邵阳·二模)I used to hate being called upon in class mainly because I didn’t like attention drawn to myself. And unless otherwise 166 a seat by the teacher, I always chose to sit at the back of the classroom.
All this 167 after I joined a sports team. It began when a teacher suggested I 168 the basketball team. At first I thought it was a crazy 169 because I didn’t have a good sense of balance, nor did I have the ability to keep pace with the others on the team and they would tease me. But for the teacher who kept insisting on my “ 170 for it”, I wouldn’t have decided to give a try.
Getting up the courage to go to the tryouts was only the half of it! When I first started 171 the practice sessions, I didn’t even know the rules of the game, much worse what I was doing. Sometimes I’d get 172 and take a shot at the wrong direction, which made me feel really stupid. 173 I wasn’t the only one "new” at the game, so I decided to focus on learning the game, do my best at each practice session, and not be too hard on myself for the things I didn’t 174 “just yet”.
I practiced and practiced. Soon I knew the rules and the “moves”. Being part of a team was fun and motivating. Very soon the competitive 175 in me was winning over my lack of 176 .
With time, I learned how to play and made friends in the process-friends who respected my efforts to work hard and be a team player. I never had so much 177 !
With my improved self-confidence comes more 178 from teachers and classmates. I have-gone from “ 179 ”in the back of the classroom and not wanting to call attention to myself, to raising my hand-even when I sometimes wasn’t and not 100 percent 180 I had the rightanswer. Now I have more self-confidence in myself.

We hugged each other and made our 195 : we'll walk together once a month.
