Guessing Game
To be or not to be, that's a question.
Give every man thy ear, but few thy voice; take each
man's censure, but reserve thy judgment.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking
makes it so.
—
Hamlet

David Copperfield
Appreciate two excerpts
David Copperfield looks back on the life of David from a happy early childhood through cruel
parents, harsh working conditions, and extreme poverty to an happily married adult.
The House on Mango Street features a series of short
chapters told from the first-person point of view of
Esperanza, a young teenage girl. She moves to the house
on Mango Street in Chicago with her family, but she doesn't
like it. The house is run-down and small in a poor
neighborhood. Esperanza tracks her experiences over a
year of living in that house.
Have a discussion
Discussion:
1.What is conveyed in the two
excerpts
1.The excerpt from David Copperfield shows the main
character’s passion for whatever he is doing.
2.The other excerpt from The House on Mango Street introduces
