教学过程
Step 1. Review and Talk: 1.Review and talk about Betyy’s past life in Quincy about where\what\how\who. 2.Look through the passage and find the structure of it.It’s about the hometown, the old house and the people in heart. Step 2. Pair work Talk about Betty’s hometown, such as location\activities\ great people. Remind students to use a clear and concise sentence. Talk about your own hometown. Stetp 3.Let’s say about the old house Ask Ss to say about Betty’s old house by using the sentence patterns ;There was/were _____with_____. It was ... for Betty to________. Talk about your own old house like above. Step 4. Brainstorm Betty is interested in your past life, so she wants to know something about your past life.She hopes you can write an email to her What do you want to talk about in the email --the hometown\the old house\the old friends Step 5. Write As for the hometown\the old house\the old friends , think and choose one part to write in your sheet. show the sentence patterns Step 6. Group work : share . Write the other parts of your past life, put them together and make an email to Betty . Try to make it better with the check list
