Students are able to how to know imperative. Students are able to use the imperative to make a dialogue. Students are able to continue to learn about the body language in foreign countries.

教学重点: To use the imperative sentence. 教学难点: To use the imperative sentence to talk about the culture differences.
教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in Lead students into a new class through Lin Ling’s problem. Step 2 Talk about do’s and don’ts in a foreign country Do’sDon’tsBritainStand in line. Shake hands. Say “please” and “thank you”. Open doors for others. Look at people when you talk. Be on time.Touch people. Ask a woman’s age. Stand too close. Say anything too personal.
Look at the table and talk about what we can do and what we can’t do in Britain in pairs. Step 3 Consolidate through questions Ask students to consolidate what we can do and what we can’t do in Britain through some questions. How can you greet people What can you do when buying tickets Can we be late for school How to be polite 5. Can I touch people when I talk to them 6. Can I ask a woman’s age 7. Can I stand too close to others Step 4 Make a list of do’s and don’ts to help visitors to Britain List several rules visitors should obey in Britain according to what you have learned. Step 5 Learn imperative sentences through observation Ask students to observe these sentences to find out the similarities among them and conclude the basic structures of imperatives. Step 6 Rewrite the sentence and check answers First, let Ss look at the example. Then let Ss follow the example to finish the following five sentences. The main purpose is to master the imperative sentence. Step 7 Use imperatives to make a dialogue Students are asked to work in pairs to make dialogues by using imperatives to help Lin Ling better study and live in Britain. Step 8 summary Lead students to review basic structures of imperatives and some sample sentences to consolidate students’ learning results. Step 9 Homework Review notes Finish the after-class exercise.
