教学重点: 1. 通过学习、分析文本Grow a forest,使学生了解宣传类文本的表达方法。 2. 引导学生尝试用“ Have you ... ”开头,加入对自己或他人经历的分享,以及表述活动意义为基本结构,鼓励他人去体验某种活动。 教学难点: 1. 引导学生总结、归纳出该篇宣传类文本的表达方法和目的。 2. 引导学生对所学的宣传类文本的表达方法在其他情境中进行迁移。
教学过程
Step 1: Greet and lead in the topic -- “experience” Activity 1: Questionnaire(问卷调查) Do you have any meaningful(有意义的) experiences Have you ever shared these experiences with others Have you ever encouraged(鼓励) others to try these kinds of experiences [设计意图:以目标语言Have you ever...?为载体,通过点题(有意义的经历)、是否有分享经历,是否有鼓励他人尝试自己有过的经历来引出本节课的目标。] (学习理解) Step 2: Presentation Activity 1: Lead in the passage -- Grow a forest According the questionnaire, the teacher shares her meaningful experience about growing tress in Alipay. [设计意图:引出A8文本(Grow a forest)] Activity 2: Fast reading (get the main idea of each paragragh) Learn to get the main idea with the key words. Activity 3: Complete the passage with the sentences in the box. There is one extra sentence. Use key words to solve the reading problems. Activity 4: Find out the purpose of the passage. What’s the purpose of the passage A. To share the planting experience B. To encourage others to buy a tree C. To ask people to protect the forest Activity 5: Read and think (find out the writing methods and purpose). To encourage others to buy a tree, what does the writer do [ Activity 2-5设计意图:从关键词着手,梳理文本,弄清楚文章写作意图, 归纳写作手法及写作目的。](学习理解+应用实践) Step 3: Practice Solve the real problem 为向全世界推广珠峰文化旅游,西藏各旅行社现向社会各界征集用于推广“登珠峰” 活动的英文宣传,希望号召更多人来体验。请根据以下有关文本,写一则宣传进行投稿。 T: To encourage more people to climb Mount Qomolangma, what can we do? Ss: Start with questions like Have you ever... Tell the experience and meaning. What experiences would you like to encourage more people to try Please write a short passage about it. (详见作业练习单) Choose to do Make a video and post(发布)it online: Share the meaningful experience you or others had and encourage more people to try.
