Unit 5 Why do you like pandas 单元整体教学设计
单元主题意义 本单元的主题属于“人与自然”范畴。本单元通过鼓励学生对动物的喜好,学习描述动物(产地、特性、技能等);了解濒危动物,知道如何保护濒危动物,学习了解动物、关爱动物,让学生了解动物、形成动物保护的意识。
单元教学目标 通过本单元的学习,学生能够: 目标a:学会用why,what .where引导的疑问句来了解动物的特征,生活习惯和主要生长地。 目标b: 学会运用目标语言来表达个人对动物的喜好。 目标c: 学会运用思维导图来概括文章主题和细节信息。 目标d: 学会用自己的实际行动来保护动物,体现主人翁意识。 与核心素养的关系: 学生能形成自主学习,有效交际,信息处理,英语思维能力;认知联系,归纳,推测等技能;调控从同伴反馈,对自己在叙述及作文中的错误进行修改;交际积极,有效同时礼貌地进行对话;通过研究并总结世界各地的典型动物及自然界的濒危动物,初步体验研究型学习的基本过程;通过多媒体创设情境,学生体验到信息技术在英语课中的应用。
整体教学思路及教学结构图 1.来源& 内容: 本单元是《新目标英语》系列教材之一Go for it !七年级下册的第五单元。话题是谈论动物园力的动物,与学生的日常生活紧密联系,学生有话可说。本单元需要教会学生面熟各种常见动物以及表达自己对动物的喜好。读懂关于动物的文章,熟练运用why,what和where引导的特殊疑问句进行问答,能正确使用表示性质和品质的形容词完成句子和文章。从动物名、动物特点、动物习性、动物产地及自己喜好的原因等方面介绍动物。培养学生自主和主动用英语进行交际的意识,在具体语境中知道学生描述自己喜欢的动物。 2.纵向知识关联: 功能: describe animals and express preferences . 话题: 描述动物和表达个人喜好。 语言知识: 掌握本单元的单词和短语。 b.掌握表示性质和品质的形容词并能用why和because 表达自己的喜好。 c. 能够恰当地描述动物的表达喜好。 学生能初步既有正确使用表示性质和品质的形容词的能力 。 3.横向知识关联: (1 )七年级上U1,U2,U4,U8,U9学习了What,Who,Where,Where 和Why引导的特殊疑问句,这是对上册语法的复现。 本单元学生会学习用adjectives of quality去描述动物,七年级下册U9 What does he look like 这一单元中学生将学习用adjective of quality 去描述人的外貌。在形容词的学习上,U9是U7的延续。本单元中学生学会学习用简单句来表达自己的喜好并说明原因,在九年级U9这一单元中学生将会学习用定语从句来表达自己的喜好并说明原因。二者在语言难度上有一个递进关系。 教学结构图:

教材(语篇)分析: 【what】 本节课是一节阅读课。 【why】 由前面一节课Tony和Mary参观动物园的场景,学生学会了如何用英语描述动物的特点。 本课转向了对“濒危动物”的关注。 【how】 2a通过众多濒危动物引出本课中关于“大象”的语篇阅读。2b让学生进行整体阅读并选择最佳标题,意在培养学生快速阅读和归纳语篇中心思想的能力。2c意在培养学生构建思维导图的阅读策略,帮助学生将抽象的零碎知识分类整理成于主题密切相关又相对独立的块状知识。这不仅有助于学生深入理解语篇,抓住重要信息,而且能够增强学生的思维能力,提升注意力于记忆力,启发联想力和创造力。
学情分析: 自然情况 本单元围绕着动物展开,通过前面几节有关动物名称、特点的听说课,学生对笨蛋换的话题已经非常熟悉。 (二)已有基础 学生能根据所学的句型和描述动物特点的形容词对动物进行描述。
(三)存在问题
本课选取濒危动物之一-大象作为对象,对其特点、存在的问题等进行了深入的描述,语篇稍长,对于初一的学生来讲有一定的难度。 (四)解决措施 教师在教学中应思考并改进教学策略,对学生进行阅读策略的指导,帮助学生养成良好的阅读习惯,掌握科学的阅读方式和阅读技能。
教学目标: 通过本课学习,学生能够: 学生能口头及书面掌握以下重点词汇:save, flag , forget , place , danger , cut ,down , tree , kill , over; 理解短文中出现的短语:save the elephants ,one of Thailand’s symbols(学习理解) 学生能运用不同的阅读策略完成不同的阅读任务,能回答相关问题,从而理解短文大意。 (应用实践) 学生能运用所学句型、词汇,利用思维导图和课文内容,介绍大象的特点;并能运用所学,口头介绍其他动物,从而激发学生关爱动物的情感。 (迁移创新)
教学重难点 重点:培养学生良好的阅读习惯,培养学生快速阅读和归纳语篇中心的能力;学会利用思维导图济宁归纳总结。 难点:让学生把关于喜好动物原因的口语化表达转化为描述性的语言,完成笔头输出。
