情态动词 can
情态动词本身有一定的词义,表示说话人的情绪、态度或语气。
1.can是情态动词,表示能力,意为“能,会”。如:I can swim.我会游泳。
2.情态动词can没有人称和数的变化。表达“某人会做某事”,或“某人能做某事”,用“can+动词原形”。
如:He can dance.他会跳舞。
3.含情态动词can的否定句,直接在情态动词can后加not,成为cannot,缩写为can’t。表达“某人不会做某事”,或“某人不能做某事”,用“can’t+动词原形”。
如:I cannot / can’t swim.我不会游泳。
4.含情态动词 can的一般疑问句,直接将can提至句首,回答的主语和问句的主语要一致。表达“某人会做某事吗?”或“某人能做某事吗?”,用“Can+主语+动词原形(+其他)?”。
如:Can he dance?他会跳舞吗?
5.can’t be表示否定推测,意为“一定不,不可能”。
如:The large shoes can’t be Jim’s.He has small feet.这双大鞋不可能是吉姆的。他脚小。
