Ss will be able to use the sentence structures “What’s in your
schoolbag ” “An English book, a Chinese book, a maths book and
three storybooks”.
Ss will be able to have a proper understanding of the use of
singular and plural forms of the nouns.
Ss will be interested in making their own conversations and songs;
will be happy to learn English.
Teaching Key and Difficult Points:
1) Ss are supposed to master the key words and the key sentences.

3) How to use the plural forms of nouns correctly.
Teaching Procedure:
Step 1 Warm-up
1) Sing a song --- My Schoolbag.

2) Revision
Show some words of school things, for example, pen; pencil;
pencil box; book; eraser; crayon and ruler etc. Ask students if they
can read these words and review the words.
Step 2 Presentation
1) Game
Play a guess ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )ing game with students. T puts something in her hands,
Ss guess what it is.
T: What’s in my hand Guess!
S1: A pencil
T: No!
S2: A ruler
T: ......
2) New words
Take out a schoolbag, and learn the first new word schoolbag .
Then ask Ss t ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )o guess what is in it and use the books to learn the new
words (English book, Chinese book, maths book, storybook).

Ss: A pencil box
T: Yes. (T takes out the pencil box) And what else
Ss: Books

storybooks.(T takes out the books one by one.)
Step 3 Let’s learn
1) Listen and read.

2) Practice and act.
