Could you find more sentences using the same rhetorical devices
The sun and moon looked as if they were being thrown across the sky, but soon there was division between night and day. Around me I saw trees growing like puffs of smoke; they grew, spread, and died in moments. I saw huge buildings rise up then disappear like in a dream. The whole surface of the earth was being changed, melting and flowing before my eyes.

I had a strong urge to look at the random things that were being flashed before my eyes! I had thought about the risk of stopping the Time Machine many times. So long as I travelled at maximum speed, it didn’t matter. But if I stopped and the same space was being occupied by something else, we would be forced together and explode like a bomb! Like an impatient fool, I pulled the lever backwards hard. With a sudden jolt, the Time Machine was flipped on its side, and I was thrown through the air.

I felt my heart racing and blood rushing when I finally stood before my Time Machine which is shaped like flying saurcer with an automatic door. After giving it a last check, I fastened my seat belt, pressed the red button and ordered with my exciting voice, “Please take me to the year of 3000.” The flying saurcer floated above the ground immediately, moving swiftly in a certain direction. Looking outside of the window, I found everything flew backwards, faster and faster, until all the things became hazy. It was hard to explain the strange and unpleasant feeling of time travelling. It seemed as if I sat on the Doraemon’s time machine and entered the time tunnel, which made me dizzy.
A few minutes later, the saucer landed gently and the automatic door opened itself. What looked like a floating steel city unfolded before my eyes. All the buildings were made of steel and glass, shining like diamond in the sun. Various kinds of vehicles were flying in the air, heading in all directions. One of them stopped in front of me and an unfamiliar figure stepped out of the car. What a creature! She was tall, slim and with two large eyes and pointed ears just like aliens appearing in the film. She greeted me with my language and told me that she knew I came from 1000 years ago. I was stunned and couldn’t help saying, “What an amazing new world.”
