教学过程
Activity 1 Lead-in Students watch a video about “Bucksmore Summer Camp” and answer the question: What do students do in summer camp Students talk about what they saw in the video and share their ideas on the summer camp. Purpose: to lead into the topic “summer camps” and get students know more about British culture. Activity 2 Read an advertisement Students read an advertisement and fill the blanks according to the basic information. Students answer the question: “What do you think of the summer camp ” Students may say it’s expensive/meaningful/interesting. Purpose: To help students grasp the basic information quickly and teachers can stimulate students’ interest in attending a summer camp. Activity 3 Brainstorm Students think about the question: “ If we want to take part in the summer camp, what should we bring before we go to the UK Students join the two parts of the sentences with and, but or or. 1) I would like to go to England… a) I have got my passport. 2 )You should wear a raincoat… b) practice my English. 3) You can go by plane… c) I can buy a new pair. 4) I did not bring my sunglasses… d) they must not weigh too much. 5) I have bought my ticket… e) you can carry an umbrella 6) You can take two bags… f) you can take the train. 3. Students get to know the composite sentence(复合句)= simple sentence + conjunction（连词）+simple sentence. Activity 4 Language practice Students pay attention to the composite sentences with and, but and or.
