学情分析
本单元属于人与自我话题，主要学习和谈论人们出行的方式和所需时间，以及谈论两地之间的距离。由于本校学生来自不同的学校，学习态度，学习能力和知识基础都参差不齐，介于这种情况，本备课着力于让学生尽力掌握本单元基础知识（基本词汇，句型并作适当拓展），努力提高学生关于本话题的表达能力，同时尽力培养学生思维品质和文化意识，让学生能关注不同的人群选择不同的交通工具的，让学生们关注自己，关注他人，关注社会（以及交通方式的变迁，看到社会的发展）。
单元重难点
本单元重点是让学生掌握表示交通工具的名词和到达某目的地的方式，时间和两地之间的距离。
难点是对于How long… 和 How far…这两个句型的运用，
学生们阅读和写作能力的培养，以及文化意识的培养。
