Paragraph 2:
A few minutes later the other two cyclists arrived. They found a wolf walking around the car, they realized someone need help. They tried their best to stop cars passing by. Finally, an old driver stopped. He was a policeman who had a gun. Then they got close to the wolf slowly, and shot it! With an astonishing sound disappeared, the wolf fell down and lied on the ground. Mac and Paul as well as Becky were saved.
Paragraph l:
The next day we remembered the brand-new tent we brought with us. That night we set up our tent in a park, The moon was held up above the sky, shining her smooth and charming moonlight, Twinkle stars blinking, fragrant breeze gently stroked my head, as if com forting all the tiredness along the trip. The next day, Dad brought us to the car and asked me to clear all the things away. Not long after we came back to the car, Mom arrived, and then we continued our trip.

At age 10, I stood in front of my new class, my new classmates looking at me with mild interest as my teacher introduced me. I joined in the middle of the school year. There were 41 students in my new class. I was the 42nd.
All my classmates sat in pairs except for this one girl, Kate. I went and sat down next to her and gave her a small, uncertain smile. She smiled in return. The class started and we didn't talk until lunch time. At lunch time, I pulled out my lunch box, packed by my mother. It had fried rice with home-made cakes and a small box of fruits. Clearly my mom had spent time packing this yummy lunch. This girl took out a small box with bread butter inside. In India, it's pretty rare for kids to just get bread butter for lunch. The only time I had bread butter for lunch was if my mom was unwell. So I thought that was what the problem here was. I offered her a small part of my lunch and forgot all about it. The next day, she again had bread butter. Well, I thought, her mother might have fallen ill, so she was taking time to recover. I again offered her a part of my lunch. This went on for a week. Then one day, I asked the one question that I shouldn't have. "Is your mom not well "
In fact, I wasn't prepared for the answer. Later, I knew that her mother, who worked in a supermarket, was in poor health. She constantly stayed at home with no income. I didn't know what to do. So I did the most obvious thing. I went home and told my mom that my lunch wasn't enough and I still felt hungry after eating it. My mom started packing a bigger lunch. And in school, I'd tell Kate that my mom had packed me a lunch too big, so could she please help me finish it Then I asked her what her favorite dish was. "Naan," she whispered.

When my sister, Dona, and I were little kids, my parents both joined the army. They stayed far away from our town and hardly returned home. My grandpa took on the big responsibility of taking care of us. Still, without our parents by our side, Dona and I sometimes felt lonely and sad, especially one winter.
One morning in that winter when Dona and I were sitting in our bedroom, dull and quiet, Grandpa said, "My dear, how about trying skating for fun " Our faces immediately lit up and we answered together, "Great, we surely like it, Grandpa!"
He smiled and quickly set about building us a skating rink(溜冰场) in our yard. The process of building a skating rink was not easy. First, Grandpa laid out long wooden boards around the yard. Next, he made the base of the rink flat. Grandpa then began spraying the water, lightly at first, until the first layer of ice was established. He would then put some water onto the ice each night. And thus, the ice became thicker and thicker.
In the darkness of the night, from the kitchen window Dona and I watched Grandpa with great expectations. His back and shoulders rounded to protect him from the freezing wind. He stood alone, busying himself creating a perfect skating rink for us. The only light was from the moon and stars.
One night, Grandpa suddenly pressed his waist and the look on his face showed he was painful. Quite concerned, Dona and I rushed out and asked, "Grandpa! What's wrong " "My waist is painful. Don't worry! I'll be fine just after a little rest," he smiled. Dona and I offered to help create the rink. But he said it was too cold outside at night and that building the rink needs much experience and lots of skills. Then, we gave up the idea of offering him a hand, but demanded he build the rink a few days later. Seeing we were determined, he walked into the room with us and had warm tea. Before long, Dona and I were tired and went to bed.

When I was in middle school, my family moved to Seattle, where my parents started their new business--a small grocery store downstairs my house. As a girl of shy and reserved nature, I had to take a fresh start to fit into the sophisticated city life.
One sunny day, my school announced an exciting event, a talent show for the local food bank. Students were encouraged to showcase their unique talents in front of the public in the city hall on National Day. A buzz of excitement filled the school as everyone began preparing for the big day. Deep down, I felt a spark of curiosity and a desire to participate. However, my self-doubt held me back, "I don't have any special skills to share."
Days turned into weeks, and the talent show drew closer. I couldn't shake the upsetting feeling until one day Emma, one of the most popular girls in my class, came to me while I was helping in the grocery store after class. "How about singing together in the talent show " She grinned, "I heard you singing a tune, along the way back home. I can't help following you here." Gosh, I couldn't believe my ears. Emma, with personality and popularity, acknowledged my little talent. Since Emma had the world's prettiest voice, I felt like being favoured by fortune.
"You two The talent show for the food bank " My mum bent towards us and her face lit up. "A big occasion." Then a light bulb seemed to go in her head. "Why not practise right now upstairs I bet you'll be a perfect match." Winking at us, she seemed to know we were thinking alike.
Emma and I embarked on rehearsing almost every single day after school. We brainstormed, exchanged ideas and rehearsed the scene. As the days rolled by, I was feeling pretty good about our act. But the day before the performance, Emma called that she had an acute stomachache and was not in.

During summer vacation when I was twelve, a sawmill(锯木厂) was operating in the woods near our farm. Early each morning, I'd watch the men cut down big trees and saw them into logs. Then they were dragged by two horses named Jack and Billy to the mill. They were gentle, and I petted them every chance I got.
One day, Mr. Davis, the mill owner, said he would pay me 15 cents a day to bring fresh water to the men. I said yes!
One afternoon when Jack and Billy were pulling a log up to the mill, a stick became wedged(塞入) in Jack's right front foot. After Mr. Davis removed the stick, the horse driver said that the foot should be doctored. But Mr. Davis said he didn't have time for that. He said if the horse couldn't work, he'd get one that could.
I felt sick inside. Jack and Billy were my best friends! I couldn't stop thinking about Jack's foot and what Mr. Davis had said. For the rest of the day the horses pulled logs from the woods. By nightfall Jack was limping(跛行) badly. Mr. Davis told his crew that the mil would be closed for three days. He offered to pay me a dollar to feed and water the horses while he was gone. I quickly agreed.
The next morning, I rode my bike to Mr. Davis's mill. I fed the horses their grain and led them to a stream for water, I was sad to see that Jack was still limping. After I led the horses back, I wanted to look at Jack's foot. I reached down and grabbed the hair on the back of his leg, Jack lifted up his foot so I could see. The part inside of the big iron shoe looked red and swollen. When I put the foot down, Jack let only the front of it rest lightly on the ground.
I knew if Jack couldn't work with that injured foot, Mr. Davis would get rid of him. I just couldn't let that happen. But what could I do I didn't know anything about medicine, and Mr. Davis said he wouldn't pay for a doctor.
As I slowly rode my bike home, my mind raced. I needed to find a way to help my big friend. At my house, I saw our neighbor, Mr. Sherman. It occurred to me that he raised horses and knew how to care for them.

I have a 6-year-old boy, Sam. He is autistic(患自闭症的). Thus, dining out can be terrible. Though he loves to eat out, he dislikes the loud noise in a restaurant. He has a method to solve it: overpower(压倒) all noise with a much louder noise of his own.
This begins what I think of as fighting tables: neighboring parties raise their voice followed by Sam raising his until the loudest point of the noise is reached, making us quite unpopular with other dinners.
Faced with a possible long-time dining alone, I decided to teach my son table manners with his favourite chocolate cake at a new modern cake shop early one Tuesday night.
To my joy, we arrived at an empty cake shop. Everything went well until women entered. Neatly dressed in a simple way, they were two tables away from us. I felt a sense of bad luck coming.
The women began to chat, paying little attention to us. Sam happily took this as his start to talk loudly and overpower them. I asked Sam for a quiet voice, but unluckily Sam had left that voice at home. I looked at the neighboring table, knowing we wouldn't go noticed much longer. I planned to ask Sam to eat quickly and leave. Sam, who usually has food unhurriedly, refused to accept the sudden idea of fast dining, and he kept talking endlessly.
"SHUSH!" I said, a little angry. Sam laughed loudly as his reply. "Be quiet!" I could see that the two women were now watching us.

It was July 2019 and my mum Rebecca was taking me on a 120 km walking holiday from Portugal to Spain as a special treat for my 10th birthday. One day, while walking along the coastal path staring out at the Atlantic Ocean, I chatted away to Mum. "When Lexi turns.10, are you going to take her on a trip like this " I asked, referring to my seven-year-old sister. Mum said Lexi had already asked to go to Svalbard in the north of Norway because she was crazy about polar bears.
Although I was still on my first special trip, I'd been learning about ancient civilizations at school and knew I'd love to see some relics in the flesh. So I continued saying, "Why don't I go to Egypt while you're in Svalbard with Lexi ", adding that my dad, Olaf, could take me there. "Great, but I'm not paying for it." Muim replied, chuckling. "That's fine. I'll pay," I said, "I'll save up my pocket money and get a job."
So that's exactly what I did. Though I was too young to do any other paid work, I had my own solution. I started saving my $10-a-week pocket money. Also, I washed my parents' car or mowed the lawn for extra cash.
In 2020, we moved to Perth. One day, I saw a pamphlet(小册子) in the letter box advertising a job delivering catalogues. When I told Mum I wanted to do it, she tried to put me off the idea, reminding me that the work was tiring and time-consuming. But when seeing the determination in my eyes, she agreed to call them. Thankfully, my young age didn't bother them-I got the job. On a Monday, a mountain of catalogues was dropped off at our house, which shocked me a lot. I told myself to calm down and dedicated to work. It took me nine hours to sort through them. At first, I used my bike and carried the catalogues in my backpack to deliver them to 430 houses in my area.

Paragraph 1:
When I told my mom that I wanted very much to have Naan, she felt puzzled. Naan was not a common dish in our household, and my mom wasn't sure if she could prepare it, but she promised she would try. The next day, I was thrilled to find that my lunch box now contained a piece of Naan, and I eagerly shared it with Kate. Seeing her smiling face made me feel really happy inside. From that day on, my mom would occasionally pack some Indian delicacies for me to share with Kate, and I would be more than happy to do so.
Paragraph 2:
I moved out of that school soon after and didn't stay in touch with Kate. However, this experience taught me an important lesson about kindness and understanding. Often we judge people too quickly, without realizing their underlying struggles. While it may seem small, sharing my lunch with Kate helped me to connect with her on a deeper level and to understand her better. As I grew older, I would try to apply this lesson in my daily life – to be a little kinder, a little more empathetic, and a little more understanding of people's struggles.

The next morning when we woke up, we found skating equipment placed before our bed. Grandpa called out, "Kids, come out! The rink was ready!"
Paragraph 2:

All you need to do is make yourself confident." Hearing that, I determined to accomplish this performance perfectly, and I worked day and night on it.

When I stepped onto the stage, I could feel all the eyes fixed on me. A strong sense of nervousness flooded over me. I started my performance as I usually practised and struggled to overcome my fear. Paragraph 1:
After several deliveries, I found it wasn't very efficient. Strained by the weight of the catalogues and limited by the bike's capacity, I was compelled to seek a better method. Collaborating with Dad, we devised a solution: constructing a small cart for towing behind my bike, a move that drastically expanded my delivery capabilities. This innovation cut my delivery time in half and made the job less physically demanding. Witnessing my savings account grow, bolstered by determination and familial support, transformed the catalogues from mere paper into tickets to my dream.
Paragraph 2:
Three and a half years later, I saved a massive $6,500, and Dad and I flew to Cairo, Egypt. Upon arrival, the realization of my dream was overwhelming. Confronted with the majestic pyramids, symbols of the ancient civilization I yearned to explore, the experience was surreal. As Dad and I wandered through the bustling streets of Cairo, the sights, sounds, and smells of the city were a stark contrast to where my journey began. This adventure, the fruit of long-lasting saving meticulous planning, and relentless dreaming, stood as proof that perseverance and creativity can turn the loftiest dreams into reality.
