(一) 时间的表达方式
时间的表达方式有两种：
1．直接表达方式：时钟＋分钟
如：5：00　 five (o'clock) 3：30　three thirty
2．间接表达方式：
◆若分钟不超过30分钟，用介词past 表示。结构：分钟＋past＋钟点
如：9：05　five past nine 10：15　fifteen past ten

◆若分钟为30分钟，用 “half past＋整点数” 表示
如：1：30　half past one 8：30　half past eight
◆若分钟超过30分钟，用介词to 表示，几点差几分。结构：分钟(60－分钟)＋to ＋ 钟点(钟点＋1)
如：9：50　ten to ten 8：45　fifteen to nine
【注】表示整点的时间，直接用基数词表达，后面可接o'clock (也可省略)。表达“15分”或“45分”，常用quarter(刻)。
如：3：00　three (o'clock)　 5：15　a quarter past five　
2：45　a quarter to three

【巧记口诀】“时”在前，“分”在后，quarter，half不能有；如何使用past和to，我们可要看清楚；前是“分”，后是“点”， past或to立中间； past是加，to是减；如果表示“几点半”，要用 half 加钟点。

(二) 频度副词
表示次数、频率的副词称为频度副词。常用的频度副词有usually (通常)，sometimes (有时)，always(总是)，often (经常)，never (从不) 等。

一般放在be 动词、情态动词、助动词之后，实义动词之前 She is sometimes busy with her work.她有时忙于她的工作。

频度副词常和一般现在时连用，表示现在或反复发生的动作 We usually have P.E. on Wednesday.我们通常在周三上体育课。
