一、定义
一般过去时表示过去某个时间或某一段时间内发生的动作或存在的状态，常和表示过去的时间状语连用，如：yesterday，last week / month / year …，three days ago，just now，in 2002等。

类型 句式构成 例句
含系动词be的句子 肯定句：主语＋ was / were ＋其他． I was at home yesterday.
否定句：主语＋ wasn't / weren't ＋其他． I wasn't at home yesterday.
一般疑问句：Was / Were ＋主语＋其他？ 肯定回答：Yes，主语＋ was / were. 否定回答：No，主语＋ wasn't / weren't. — Was Bob unhappy last night
— Yes，he was./ No，he wasn't.

谓语动词为实义动词的句子 肯定句：主语＋动词过去式＋其他． Mary watched TV just now.
否定句：主语＋ didn't ＋动词原形＋其他． Mary didn't watch TV just now.
一般疑问句：Did ＋主语＋动词原形＋其他？肯定回答：Yes，主语＋ did.否定回答：No，主语＋ didn't. — Did Mary watch TV just now
— Yes，she did./ No，she didn't.

三 、动词过去式的变化规则
类别 构成规则 例子
be动词 was 是am和is的过去式；were 是are的过去式 am / is — wasare — were
实义动词 规则动词 一般情况下，直接在词尾加－ed visit — visited

以不发音e结尾的动词，直接在词尾加－d love — loveddecide — decided
