Ralph Waldo Emerson
(1803-1882)
In Ralph Waldo Emerson’s opinion, what’s the glory of friendship Do you agree with him What’s your opinion on friendship
Possible version
After thinking through the advice given online, Jenny decided to do something. Next morning, Amy texted a message to Jenny saying, " Could we talk after school I'm willing to listen to your side of story." It was somewhat awkward when they finally met. Jenny broke the ice by apologizing sincerely. She then explained that she was ill indeed, but was unexpectedly asked out by an old friend. She regretted that she didn't tell Amy about this and feel terrible to see how badly it affected the friendship.
Post-reading: continuing the story
Finnally, Amy accepted Jenny’s sincere apology. Amy was also sorry for refusing to give her chance to explain. They both wanted to save their eight-year friendship so they made up with each other as if nothing had happened. Through the crisis of the friendship, Jenny had a better understanding of friendship, that is, it is trust and sincere communication that contribute to a smooth relationship. After all, the glory of friendship is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him no matter what happens.
