学情分析
本本单元是人教版英语(三年级起点)六年级下册第四单元，本单元学习的主题是“Then and now”。本单元的学习主题是谈论过去和现在的变化，学生学习、理解和运用一最过去时、 一般现在时和一般将来时三种时态描述事物和人物的变化。本单元通过不同的场景，引导学生感受变化无处不在，感受自身的变化，感受社会的变化。引导人要积极应对变化，享更变化。 本单元内容的教学对象是六年级学生，他们已经具备一定的听、说、读、写能力。经过三年多的英语学习，他们在课堂上基本能够听懂老师的提问，能够根据图片提示获取关键信息，能进行简单的对话表达。六年级的学生已经掌握并能灵活使用大量动作词组、形容词，他们在前两单元已经接触过比较级、一般过去式的用法，并能有意识从多个维度去描述学校、自己或者身边的人。但是学生的词汇量有限，对于六年级的学生来说，提出保护地球的建议存在一定的难度，而本单元的重点则是引导学生通过事物、人物的今昔对比，呈现不同的变化。引导学生积极看待自己以及身边的变化，从而认识自我、完善自我以及丰富自我，了解世界的变化，为守护地球家园做力所能及的事情。
二、单元整体设计思路

本节课是词汇篇， 主要学习核心词汇gym, dining hall, grass，…years ago, last year, …months ago, last months， 根据图片， 音频， 书写等让学生从听觉、视觉直观感知本节课的核心词汇和句型，There is/are ...There was/were...等谈论某个地方之前和现在都有什么等相关问题。再通过Find the mistakes等， 一起巩固句型和词汇 ，更利于学生理解，加强与他人的了解与沟通，学会合理安排周末活动。
