The monologue is the latest news of human’s exploration of Mars. The conversation is between Daming and Tony. Daming asks Tony what he’s up to and Tony replies that he has just made a model spaceship for their school project. Daming admits that he hasn’t started on his own model spaceship yet because he’s not sure how to make it, and Tony offers to help him. They talk about the latest news. Daming expresses
interest in learning more about space travel and Tony suggests he goes online to search for information. 【How】语言修辞 、文体结构 The tone of the conversation is friendly and enthusiastic, reflecting a positive attitude towards learning and curiosity. This helps to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for students to learn and explore. The text is structured as a dialogue between two friends, which makes it a good example of informal conversation. The language used is casual and easy to understand, with simple sentences and everyday vocabulary. There are no complex or technical terms, which makes the conversation accessible to Grade 8 learners. This structure and tone can serve as a model for students when having conversations about topics they find interesting or when working collaboratively on a project. 【Why 】作者意图 The conversation is intended for informal language learning purposes. It introduces the topic of space travel and exploration, which is relevant and interesting to students. The dialogue is a great opportunity to help students learn about the different aspects of space travel, such as the technology involved, the challenges, and the potential for discovery. Additionally, the conversation is intended to encourage curiosity and motivate students to explore further on their own.
