一、知识点
1.Rain (动词)“下雨” (名词) “雨”；
其派生词为：
rain -- rainy (形容词) “多雨的”
类似的词还有：
wind (名词) “风” -- windy (形容词) “多风的”；
Cloud (名词)“云” -- cloudy (形容词) “多云的”；
Sun (名词) “太阳”-- sunny (形容词) “晴朗的”；
Snow (动词) “下雪”(名词) “雪” -- snowy (形容词) “多雪的”
Eg: It’s raining now.
= It’s rainy now.
现在下雨了。
2.How’s the weather (in + 地点) (in + 时间)
= What’s the weather like (in + 地点) (in + 时间)
译为：“(某地)(某时)天气如何 ”
其答语：It’s + 天气类形容词。
Eg: How’s the weather in Beijing in summer
= What’s the weather like in Beijing in summer
“北京夏天的天气怎么样？”
It’s hot. “天气很热。”
3.How’s it going “近来可好？”
这是英语中进行问候时的寒暄用语，相当于汉语中“近况如何？”“身体可好？”“一切还好吗？”多用于口语或非正书面场合。我们还可以说：How’s your ...going “你...过得怎么样？”
常用回答有：Fine! “很好！”；
Pretty good! “非常好！”；
Not bad! “马马虎虎！”；
Terrible “糟糕透了”
Eg: -- How’s your vacation going
你的假期进展的怎么样？
-- Excellent. 非常好。
4.At/in the park “在公园”
Eg: There are lots of trees in the park.
公园里有许多树。
5.Sounds like you’re having a good time.
“听起来你玩得很开心。”
英语中常用 It sounds like you’re .../ That sounds ...来表示“听起来...；听上去...”
Eg: It sounds like you’re sleeping.
听起来你正在睡觉。
6.Have a good time
= have fun
= enjoy oneself “玩得开心；过得愉快”
注意：have a good time 和 have fun 后面可加动词的ing形式
Eg: I’m having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada.
“我很开心去加拿大看我姑姑”
7.At one’s home = at one’s “在某人家中”
Eg: She is at her grandmother’s now.
她现在在她奶奶家。
8.Can I .../ Could you...
can和could均是情态动词，都可译为“可以”或“能不能”，用于表达请求，但could在语气上比can更加委婉、客气
Eg: Could you tell me where the bank is
你能告诉我银行在哪吗？
9.Take a message for sb. “为某人捎口信”
Leave a message “留口信”
注意：message与information区别：
message为可数名词，通常指口头或书面上的“消息；信息”；
information为不可数名词，侧重指在阅读、观察或谈话中了解到的“信息、消息、情报”等。
Eg: May I take a message for you
我可以替你捎口信吗？
There is lots of information on the Internet.
网上有许多信息。
10.Call sb.back “给某人回个电话”
Eg: Please call me back when you come back.
当你回来时请给我回个电话。
11.No problem. “没问题。”
