动词不定式作表语表示主语的具体内容、目的等,常指将来的情况或尚未发生的动作。

探究点2 动词-ing形式作表语
动词-ing形式作表语分两种情况:现在分词作表语和动名词作表语。
1.现在分词作表语时,常具有形容词的性质,说明主语的性质或特征。
The news is inspiring.这消息很令人鼓舞。
The speech was very moving, and we were moved to tears.这个演讲令人感动,我们被感动得热泪盈眶。
2.动名词作表语多说明主语的内容,表示笼统的、抽象的概念。
My hobby is painting.我的爱好是绘画。
Doing nothing is doing ill.不干事就是干坏事。
Saving is having.节约即是收入。
Her job is teaching English.她的工作是教英语。

1.动词-ed形式作表语时,多表示主语所处的状态,此时的动词-ed形式大多变成了形容词。

2.作表语的动词-ed形式与被动语态结构中的过去分词的区别:
