Learning objectives:
At the end of this class, we will be able to:
1.grasp the new words and phrases in this class.
2. Know different ways to help others;
3. Master how to express willingness(意愿)and give advice.
Important/difficult points:
Try to use the sentences like “I hope to.../I’d like to.../I want to...“that offer help to others.
Teaching Process
Step1. Warming up.
1. Greetings.
2. Watch a video about volunteers.
Step2. Lead in
1. Free talk.:
① Who are they
②What is a volunteer
③What do you think of volunteers
2. Brain-storm:
As students, what could you do to help others (outside school& at school).Give students some pictures and let students make their own sentences with them.
(设计意图:激发学生的学习积极性,为接下来 1b的听力任务做好铺垫。)Step 3. Listening in 1b.
1. before listening. Learn new phrases in the sentences with the help of the pictures.
2. While listening. Listen to 1b. Pay attention to the key information and number the ways.
3. Listen again and fill in the blanks.(Pay attention to the key words with yellow color.)
Step 4. Pair work
Match and practice in pairs.Step5. Brain-storm
Give students one picture, and then let them think about:
① Do you know City Park Clean-Up Day
②Can you come up with a plan to tell people about City Park Clean-Up Day
(设计意图:头脑风暴,为学生接下来的学习提供充分的语料和环境,大大降低了听力 2a和 2b的难度,更能激发学生学习的积极性和主动性。)

课后反思:
八年级下册 Unit2 I’ll help clean up the city parks第一课时运用动词词组围绕“volunteer”展开话题前半部分围绕“ways of volunteering”,后半部分围绕“ways of telling people about the Clean- Up Day”。在熟悉和操练各个动词词组的基础上通过各种各样活动的开展培养学生的综合语言应用能力。对于八年级的学生而言可能已经不像七年级学生那样热衷于普通的课堂活动,所以设计怎样的课堂活动,采取怎样的评价方式来提高课堂气氛,从而使学生自然地融入整个教学环节显得尤为重要。在培养学生听、说.读、写能力的基础上,培养学生形成健康的人生观为他们的终身学习和发展打下良好的基础。本课时主要运用动词词组围绕”volunteer”展开话题怎样在规定的时间内通过什么样的活动来激发学生的学习热情,让学生自然地学会运用如此多的动词词组。
但是,经过本节课的学习,我还有三点需要改进:
1.要更加关注学困生,给他们一些简单的问题不要怕耽误课堂时间。
2.课前加强单词的记忆,这样课堂效率会更高学生更容易理解课堂内容。
3.这节课我说的有点多,应该更多的把课堂还给学生,给他们足够的输入之后,让他们更多的自己去说、练习。
