学情分析
本本单元是人教版英语(三年级起点)四年级下册第四单元，本单元主题是“At the farm” ，主要通过展示学生参观农场的情景，学习部分蔬菜和动物的单词，学习如何询问这些动、植物的名称和数量。能够运用What are these They are ... They are so ...和句型Are these ...Yes, they are. / No, they aren't.来询问和描述事物的特点。四年级的学生,学生已有的相关背景知识有颜色单词、体形外貌形容词、数词等,这些背景知识结合本单元的蔬菜和动物整合运用,通过知识的不断滚动形成知识链。教师在教学过程中可以借助课件、网络资源、图片、实物、教材等多种方式呈现，采用游戏、儿歌、表演等多种教学方法操练，激发学生学习英语的兴趣，培养学生灵活运用语言的能力。
二、单元整体设计思路
围绕单元主题，深挖各课时话题。本单元要学习的核心词汇：tomato-tomatoes, potato-potatoes, carrot-carrots, green bean-green beans，horse-horses, cow-cows, hen-hens, sheep-sheep等 。在单元主题意义的引领下，以“At the farm” 为主题，教师创设贴近学生学习生活的真实情境，设计层层深入的教学活动，带领学生通过观察、探究、体验等方式学习有关“如何询问这些动、植物的名称和数量”等的交际用语。语篇核心词汇核心句型学习内容学习时长学习目标A learntomato-tomatoes, potato-potatoes, carrot-carrots, green bean-green beans，Look at the___ .They're _____.学习简单描述蔬菜的外形1课时学习核心词汇的音形义， 会用所学词汇和句型简单描述蔬菜的外形A talkthese, yum1.What are these 2. 本节课是对话篇， 本课时的主题意义是通过认识Old MacDonald菜地里的菜, Mike惊奇地发现原来还有黄色的西红柿,而且它们尝起来还不错,学会介绍蔬菜 ,学会珍惜粮食 ,热爱生活。要求学生在语境中能大方的用What are these Are they________ Yes, they are.No, they aren't询问确认某个复数物体。通过对话练习培养学生自主探究知识的能力、从而达到语用的有效输出。
教学过程
