Step2: Review objective clauses with wh- questions

Step1:Lead-in
The objective clause: 宾语从句的时态
当主句谓语是一般现在时, 宾语从句可以根据需要来使用某种时态。
当主句谓语是一般过去时, 宾语从句用表示过去的某种时态。
当主句谓语是一般过去时, 宾语从句的内容表示客观真理时, 宾语从句中的谓语动词不受主句谓语动词的影响, 应保留一般现在时态形式。

2. The expressions you use might depend on whom you are speaking to or how

3. Sometimes we even need to spend time leading in to a request.
need为实意动词, need to do sth需要做某事
need doing sth=need to be done某事需要被做
need作为情态动词, need do sth需要做某事
spend time/money (in) doing sth 花费时间/钱做某事
spend...on sth花费时间/钱在...上
spend a good time=have a good time玩的开心
Step 7: Look at the requests and write two more. Describe a suitable situation for each one. Then make the requests more polite.
Step 8: Read the requests below. In the second column, write A if you would say it to someone you know and B if you would say it to a stranger. In the last column, write where you think the people are talking.
Step 9: Imagine you are going on a short study vacation at a school in an English speaking country. What would you like to know before you go Write some polite, indirect questions about the following topics.
Step 10: Write a polite letter to the school asking for the information you want to know. Use your notes in 3a.

Step 7: Listen again. Show how the boy walks to the supermarket. Draw a line
