Scientists learned that our thoughts and behavior are influenced by the colors we see.
Colors are called “warm” (red and orange) and “cool” (blue and green) for a reason: When we’re in a space where the walls are painted in warm colors, we actually feel that the temperature there is warmer than we do in similar spaces painted in cool colors. This makes warm colors good choices for a vestibule (前厅) in a cool climate (气候). Cool colors are good choices for the entrance (入口) to buildings in warm climates, and in rooms that are warm.
Putting a light color on a wall makes that wall seem a little further away than it actually is, while darker colors on walls make them seem even closer than their true positions. So you can use colors to change the shapes of rooms.
The research has also shown the special “powers” of special colors. First, seeing the color green has something to do with creative thinking—so green is a good choice for homes, offices, art rooms, etc. The color pink is believed to calm and reduce aggression (攻击), particularly light or pale pink. In addition, using yellow in a home can be wrong. But yellow may be accepted in dining room because warm colors can help increase our appetite (胃口), encouraging us to eat much. People are more likely to tell you that blue is their favorite color. That makes it a very safe choice.
All in all, colors do have influences in our life and maybe, we may find more in the future.

Sure,it's good to get along with your teacher because it makes the time you spend in the classroom more pleasant.
And yes,it's good to get along with your teacher because,in general,it's smart to learn how to understand the different types of people you'll meet throughout your life.
"But really, there's one super﹣important reason why you should get along with your teacher. When you do,learning bursts right open,"says Evelyn Vko,a longtime teacher who writes an education column called"Teacher Says"for the Washington Post newspaper.
In fact, kids who get along with their teachers not only learn more, but they're more comfortable asking questions and getting extra help. This makes it easier to understand new material and do your best on tests. When you have this kind of relationship with a teacher,he or she can be someone to turn to with problems, such as problems with learning or school life, such as bullying.
As a kid in a primary or middle school, you're at a wonderful stage in your life. You're like a sponge (海绵),able to absorb lots of new and exciting information. On top of that, you're able to think about all this information in new ways.Your teacher knows that,in most cases,is very excited to be the person who's giving you all that material and helping you make it.Remember, teachers are people, too, and they feel great if you're open to what they're teaching you. That's why they wanted to be teachers in the first place﹣to teach!
Some kids may be able to learn in any situation, whether they like the teacher or not.But most kids are sensitive to the way they get along with the teacher, and if things aren't going well, they won't learn as well and won't enjoy being in class.

In 2008, I left Spain to study alone in London. My parents had to bring up my three younger sisters and two younger brothers, so I found three part--time jobs to pay for my studies. I worked early mornings and late nights, so I was tired, really tired, all the time.
Unfortunately, I got a cold and had a very high fever. Because I had spent all my free time working since I came to London, I hardly took part in any activities and I had no friends. Besides, I was too shy to communicate with others and ask others for help. After sleeping on the sickbed for two days, I went out to get some food. Normally, I went to the supermarket, but this time I went into the Greek shop, a small comer shop, because it was closer.
I picked up some food and gave it to the shopkeeper, who asked me, "You look terrible, my boy! You are not feeling well, right ”
I said YES in a low voice.
She pointed at the salami(腊肠)and bread I was buying and offered, “I can make you a sandwich, so you don't have to do it yourself. ”
I nodded without saying a word.
So, she made the sandwich and asked me to wait a moment. She went into the back room and came again with a bowl of hot soup.
It will warm you up, she said with a friendly smile.
What really warmed me up was not the soup. Her smile told me she cared about me. Her kindness reminded me of my mother.
I had been quite shy, but from that day on, I did not let shyness prevent me from communicating with and being kind to others. Now I work in a children's hospital in Africa. I love my work and people around me. I always bring my smile and kindness to them.
