1.作时间状语

＝When it is seen from the top of the hill, the park looks more beautiful.
(2) After they were discussed many times, the problems were settled at last.
= Discussed many times, the problems were settled at last.
过去分词作状语表示时间、原因、条件、让步、方式或伴随等时，相当于一个状语从句。
2.作原因状语
Because/since/as it was done in a hurry, his homework was full of mistakes.
= Done in a hurry, his homework was full of mistakes.
3.作条件状语
If I am compared with you, I still have a long way to go.
＝Compared with you, I still have a long way to go.
注：if，once或unless常引导条件状语从句
4.作让步状语
Though he was laughed by many people，he continued his study.
＝Laughed by many people，he continued his study .
注:as,though，although，even if/hough常引导让步状语从句
5.作伴随状语（相当于and连接的并列句）
The patient got off the bed, and he was supported by the nurse．
=The patient got off the bed, supported by the nurse．
(1) He began to cry as if he was bitten by a snake.
= He began to cry as if bitten by a snake.
注意：Bitten by a snake, he began to cry. 为bitten作原因状语
6.作方式状语
升级句子步骤：
1.确定主从句主语一致；
2.找出从句中be done；
3.去掉从句中连词和主语和be动词/got；
注意：过去分词作状语时,为了使句义使句意表达得更清楚，
，前面可带有连词。
注意事项
Because they are satisfied with their scores(分数), they smiled happily.
