一、单元整体概览
（一）单元主题
本单元紧紧围绕描述最喜欢的季节这一主线，属于“人与自我”“人与社会”主题范畴。学习运用“What’s your favourite season My favourite season is ... I like ... best. I can …”等句型描述最喜欢的季节并陈述原因。通过学习，培养学生观察和思考的能力，引导学生初步形成英语思维意识；培养学生热爱大自然的情感，了解有关全球气候差异的常识。
课标分析
根据新课标，要求学生能在教师的引导和启发下，理解简答的语言材料，领悟其基本意义，运用所学语言与他人交流，传递信息，叙述事件，实现基本的沟通与交流。能根据获取的信息，提出自己的想法，有条理地表达自己的观点，学会换位思考，尝试多角度认识世界。能在教师的引导和启发下，基本认识到英语学习的重要性，兴趣逐渐增强。五年级的学生在教师的引导下，对英语学习表现出积极性和初步的自信心。能听懂有关熟悉话题的语段和简短的故事。能与教师或同学就熟悉的话题（如学校、家庭生活）交换信息。能读懂小故事及其他文体的简单书面材料。能参照范例或借助图片写出简单的句子。能参与简单的角色扮演等活动。能尝试使用适当的学习方法，克服学习中的困难。能意识到语言交际中存在文化差异。

2.语篇：本单元第一课时包括Look, listen and say, Ask and answer, Read and match三部分。
本单元第二课时包括Picture story, Enjoy a poem, Pronunciation, Read and complete四部分。
学情分析
五年级英语在小学英语教学中起着承上启下的作用，既是四年级的衍生又是六年级的铺垫。我们的学生虽然已有四年的英语学习经验，但还有以下一些问题需要解决。部分学生学习兴趣不是很高，个别的学生甚至对学习有厌恶感，同时，许多学生还是为学习而学习，谈不上兴趣问题，回家不会学习，无正确的学习方法，不知如何看书，学习态度谈不上十分端正，回家以后巩固时间很少，且缺乏有效的巩固手段，练的机会明显不足。部分学生学习的目的性不是很强，导致学习习惯不好，学习无明确的计划，有作业就写，无作业就玩。老师布置的作业不能按时完成，回家看书也只是应付家长，作业不能很好完成。
二、单元内容分析
本单元内容是谈论最喜欢的季节，设计了两个课时：
第一课时包括Look, listen and say, Ask and answer, Read and match三部分：
Look, listen and say 部分通过孩子们在春、夏、秋、冬四个季节的活动情景,呈现询问和回答最喜爱的季节并陈述原因的核心句型“What’s your favourite season My favourite season is ... I like... best. I can …”
Ask and answer部分通过谈论最喜爱的季节的问答活动，进一步巩固核心句型“What's your favourite season My favourite season is … I like ... best. I can …”,并在原句型的基础上，增加了描述季节的天气特点的内容。
Read and match部分通过阅读连线活动，拓展本课核心句型的第三人称单数形式，并延伸呈现了季节、天气、活动和穿衣的综合表达，培养学生综合运用语言的能力。
第二课时包括Picture story, Enjoy a poem, Pronunciation, Read and complete四部分：
Picture story部分通过有趣的配图故事，进一步巩固本课核心句型，同时呈现了部分拓展词汇。
Enjoy a poem部分通过阅读欣赏有韵律的季节主题的诗歌，拓展描写最喜爱的季节的表达方式，丰富主题语言，开阔学生视野。
Pronunciation部分主要学习元音字母组合ea在单词中的两种发音/i:/和/e/，了解元音字母组合ea的发音规律，并能够根据拼读规则拼读单词。
Read and complete 部分通过阅读并完成短文的活动，巩固本课的核心句型和词汇，培养学生的书写能力。
