Ladies and gentlemen, I returned to this year in a time machine. In the year 2500, we are able to travel through time to any year in history. This year is your last chance to change your lifestyle to save the Earth.
Beginning in the middle of the 20th century, a few people were worried about the polluted water and air on the Earth, but most people did not change their way of life. Instead, they continued to pour dangerous chemicals(化学品)and other waste into lakes and seas, to drive more and more cars and trucks, and to cut down trees.
By the year 2200, the water on the Earth was completely polluted. People could no longer drink the water, and they had to use other types of liquids. Scientists said that in the future there might be too many people on the Earth. But not enough was done. So, by the year 2300, there were so many people that food became scarce. There was no water to grow food and all fish in the lakes and seas died because of pollution. Terrible wars broke out between the rich and the poor. Scientists were working very hard to find another planet in space where humans could live.
By the year 2400, the air was too polluted for humans to breathe. So we had to leave the Earth. But only the rich were able to leave. Where did we go Nowhere. And everywhere. You see scientists did not find another safe planet, so now we must travel around the universe(宇宙)in our spaceships. We are still looking for a place to call our home. Actually, long-distance bicycle camping is one of the happiest activities I have ever experienced. I generally sleep poorly at night, but in the woods on a tour, I sleep like a baby with the music of insects. In the morning, birds wake me up. I eat a snack before getting up, and then I quickly pack my sleeping bag, tent, and other things and get on the road. Usually I have less speed. Traveling by bike allows me to stop anywhere, such as lakes(especially places to swim), woods, and scenic spots(景点).
Somewhere near lunch, I find a small drugstore and buy some bread, sandwich materials, and fruit. In the afternoon, my speeds are higher, and I spend less time at stops. In the late afternoon, I start thinking about stopping. I finally find a place in the early evening, cook a simple meal, and rest and cool off. As it starts to get dark, I put up my tent, and fall asleep.
There are exciting times and difficult times as well. Visiting strange or famous places are always exciting to me. I meet and talk with interesting people along the way. Enjoying beautiful scenes, meeting wild animals(usually at my camping site), and traveling up and down hills also make me cheerful. On the other hand, I may run into rainy or
hot days, have to repair my bike, or just find myself in a bad state. The problems are easily dealt with. The pleasures remain in my mind for years.

There was a man who had a little son. He loved him very much. Every day after work the man would come home
and play with the little boy.
One night, the man came home with some extra work to do. And he wasn't able to play with his little son. He wanted to give the boy something to do to keep him busy. So, looking around his study, he saw a magazine with a large map of the world on the cover. He got an idea. He patiently tore the map up into pieces. Then he led his son into the dining room and spread the pieces on the table. He explained to the boy that it was a map of the world. He told the boy to put it back together and they could play together when he finished. "Surely this could keep the child busy for hours," he thought.
After about thirty minutes, the boy came to the man and said, "Okay, it's finished, Dad. Can we play now "
The man was surprised, "That's amazing! How did you do that " The boy said, "It was easy. On the back of the page was a picture of a man. When I put the man together, the whole world appeared completely."

Terrible wars broke out between the
rich and the poor.
On the other hand, I may run into rainy or hot days, have to repair my bike, or just find myself in a bad state. The problems are easily dealt with. The pleasures remain in my mind for years.

There was a man who had a little son. He loved him very much. Every day after work the man would come home and play with the little boy.
