Breakdancing is a street dance style that develops as part of the hip hop culture. It started in the Bronx in New York City in the 1970s. Breakdancing has become known to more people in China in recent years, especially after it was announced (被宣布) in 2020 that it would be a new event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The people who perform this style of dance are known as b-boys or b-girls. Liu Qingyi is one of them. In 2022, she rose to fame (声名鹊起) at the age of 16 when she won a gold medal at Outbreak Europe. (2024·辽宁大连·一模)China sent a new X-ray astronomical satellite in space, Einstein Probe, on Jan. 9, 2024.
According to Yuan Weimin, a researcher of the satellite project, the satellite is expected to find the first light from supernova explosions (超新星爆炸) in the universe, monitor high-energy transient (瞬态) objects in the universe, which are now poorly understood by scientists.
When developing the satellite, a new generation of detection equipment (探测设备) with large fields of view and high sensitivity (灵敏度) was needed. But the important question was how to make such equipment.
Lobsters (龙虾) are a kind of sea animal which can be found around the world. Scientists discovered early on that lobsters’ eyes are different from other animals’. Lobsters’ eyes are made up of lots of tiny square tubes, pointing to the same center, which allows light from all directions to reflect in the tubes and meet on the retina (视网膜), which gives lobsters a large field of view. Scientists then simulated (模仿) the lobsters’ eyes to create a telescope to catch X-rays in space.
Through working together with other organizations, the X-ray Imaging Laboratory began the research and development work on lobster-eye X-ray imaging technology in 2010 and finally made a breakthrough.
“Thanks to the lobster-eye telescope technology, the Einstein Probe is able to monitor the poorly known soft X-ray band with a large field of view and high sensitivity,” Yuan said.

A.To enlarge the field of view. B.To catch the supernova explosion.
C.To monitor the sensitivity of objects. D.To improve the detection equipment.
31.How did scientists create the telescope technology
A.By simulating the lobsters’ eyes. B.By observing lobsters’ movement.
C.By doing experiments on sea animals. D.By comparing lobsters with other sea animals.
32.What can we infer from the passage
A.The new detection equipment looked like a lobster.
B.Scientists knew nothing about supernova explosion.
C.China is the first country to send Einstein Probe into space.
D.The lobster-eye telescope technology leads to Einstein Probe’s success.

(2024·辽宁铁岭·一模)Health problems which are related to climate change are getting worse, say two research reports.
The reports followed 44 health problems that are related to climate change around the world. They include
heat deaths, infectious diseases (传染病) and hunger. “All of them are getting worse,” said Marina Remanello. She is research director of the Lancet Countdown project. “With globalwarming getting worse, doing nothing on climate and health will cost more than acting now,” one of the reports says.
The reports are called “code red for a healthy future”. One report is centred (集中) on the US and the other is centred on the whole world. The reports found some dangerous facts. At-risk populationslike older people and the very young are more easily influenced by high temperatures. For people over 65, the researchers found they stayed living in warm places where it is easier for some diseases to spread. For example, coast areas are warm enough for dangerous bacteria (细菌) to grow. In some poor nations the season for disease-spreading mosquitoes (蚊子) has got longer since the 1950s.
The research also found that 72 percent of countries saw an increase in wildfires. And in 2020, up to 10 percent of the world’s land surface was influenced by extreme(极端的) drought. In the US, the heat, fire and drought caused the biggest problems. The Pacific Northwest and Canada saw extreme heatwaves. An earlier study found that the heatwaves would not have happened if there were no human-caused climate change.
33.The underlined word “related” in Paragraph 1 probably means “________”.
A.connected B.spread C.accepted D.considered
34.What do the reports find according to Paragraph 3
A.A 15-year-old boy is more easily influenced by high temperatures.
B.Climate change doesn't influence people who are under 65.
C.It’s easier for some diseases to spread in warm places.
D.In the US, the season for mosquitoes becomes longer.
35.What is the text mainly about
A.The results of climate change.
B.The reasons why climate changes.
C.Health problems caused by climate change.
D.Deaths caused by human-caused climate change.
36.How is the text organized

(2024·辽宁沈阳·一模)In the Three-Body Problem books, Trisolarans, a type of alien (外星人), can dehydrate (脱水) their bodies. Then they can live through terrible environments and come back to life again hundreds of years later. Is it possible that humans could be like that as well
Scientists have now made a new discovery by studying water bears. These organisms (微生物) can live without water for a long time.
When water bears find themselves somewhere without water, they go into a form. In this form, there are no signs of life. Deep freezing, volcanic fire, the dark space… these tiny water bears just sleep it off and wake up again when it’s safe.
But how do these little eight-legged water bears live without water Scientists are looking for the answer now. As water leaves a cell (细胞), some kind of protein (蛋白质) must help the cell keep its strength to avoid breaking apart. Now scientists have found proteins are special to water bears. The proteins protect their cells against dehydration.
Scientists also put those proteins into human cells. They found these proteins can strengthen the human cell so that it won’t become smaller in size when losing water.
With experiments using human cells showing successful results, Trisolarans may come to be a reality some day.
37.What can Trisolarans do in the Three-Body Problem books
A.They can live in water freely for hundreds of years.
B.They can protect themselves from being discovered.
C.They can help other dead things come back to life again.
D.They can dehydrate themselves and live in bad environments.
38.What will happen to water bears if they are short of water
A.They will give up living. B.They will go into a form.
C.They will try to find water. D.They will wake up again.
39.What is the most important for water bears to live without water
A.The special cells in their bodies. B.Their way of dehydrating.
C.A kind of protein in their bodies. D.The strength of their bodies.

(2024·辽宁鞍山·一模)We can see more and more driver-less cars in the streets and our homes can be controlled by voice. AI (人工智能) has developed so fast recently. “AI is going to change the world more than anything in the history of mankind (人类), more than electricity.” said AI expert Dr. Kai Fu Lee. That’s true. According to a research by scientists at the University of Oxford, AI will be better than humans at translating languages by 2024, writing school essays by 2026, selling things by 2031, writing a bestselling book by 2049, and treating diseases by 2053. In the next few years, AI will become an important part in our lives.
These are just a few examples of how AI will change the future. What about jobs Will they take our jobs in the future
“AI will take our jobs!” is the most common fear. In fact with AI automating (自动操作) all kinds of work, we can think of a more comfortable future for ourselves with millions of new job chances. According to a report on the Future of Jobs by World Economic Forum (世界经济论坛), AI will create 58 million new AI jobs by 2022. There is an excellent chance that AI will replace humans in most of the mental (脑力) tasks by 2030. However, that does not mean it will take away jobs. Taking India as an example, the Indian AI industry doubled in size in 2019 compared to the year before. In just one year, three times more companies are working on AI-based projects and this may continue. India almost doubled its AI engineers in 2019 (from 40. 000 in 2018 to 72. 000 in 2019), but still faces a talent shortage (人才短缺). Top technology companies are racing to implement (实施) AI in our daily lives, which will lead us to a really exciting AI future.
AI Future is coming soon! And there will be more new jobs in the AI industry. Do you want to be a part of this fourth industrial revolution (革命) Will you upgrade (升级) your skills to stay ahead or will you remain still and slow in the industry The choice remains with you. With the progress of education and training, now is the time to prepare for the age of AI.

Lobsters’ eyes are made up of lots of tiny square tubes, pointing to the same center, which allows light from all directions to reflect in the tubes and meet on the retina (视
网膜), which gives lobsters a large field of view.
29.What is Einstein Probe
A.A newly-found planet. B.A newly-built space station.
C.A new X-ray astronomical satellite. D.A new telescope technology.
30.Why was Einstein Probe sent in space

They include heat deaths, infectious diseases (传染病) and hunger.
At-risk populationslike older people and the
very young are more easily influenced by high temperatures.

41.From the first paragraph, we can know that AI will ________.
A.replace humans in many ways B.be more powerful than electricity
C.change the long history of electricity D.change the world greatly
42.By the middle of the 21st century, AI will do many things for us except ________.
A.writing books B.translating languages
C.inventing new robots D.treating patients
