I never quite understood how having double eyelids saved my parents money until that summer when I came back to Seoul. The moment I arrived in the city, I noticed cosmetic surgery clinics (整容机构) everywhere. South Korea is known to have the highest ratio (比例) of cosmetic surgery to people worldwide.
