教学目标
1. 语言知识目标: 1) 能掌握以下单词: heel, scoop, electricity, style, project, pleasure, zipper, daily, website, pioneer, list, mention 能掌握以下句型: ① —When was the telephone invented —I think it was invented in 1876. ② —What are they used for —They are used for... 2) 能谈论物品被发明的时间、发明者,表达某发明的用途。 2. 情感态度价值观目标: 了解一些近现代发明的时间及用途,激发自己热爱发明的情感。培养想象力,善于观察事物。面对难题,用积极的态度去解决,发挥想象力,认识世界,改造世界。
教学内容
教学重点: 1. 本课时的单词、词组和句型,学习运用一般过去时态的被动语态。
2. 学会询问发明时间及用途的基本句型。
教学难点: 运用一般过去时态的被动语态来讨论发明的发明时间及用途。
教学过程
1.Lead in. 1)Introduce the topic “inventions” briefly. 2)Talk about the four great inventions in ancient China. 2.look at four modern inventions in the world. In what order do you think they were invented and number them 1 to 4. (1a) 3.Listen to 1b and match the inventions with the years. 4.Talk about when the inventions were invented.(1c) 5. Listening.(2a, 2b)? 1)Introduce three interesting inventions.? 2)Listen and number the inventions [1-3] in the order you hear them. 3)Listen again and complete the chart. 6.Make conversations using the information in the chart in 2b, using the structure “be used for”.(2c) 7. 2d.Role-play the conversation. 1)Read the conversation quickly and answer the questions: ①When was the zipper invented ②Who was it invented by 2)Read the conversation again and find more details: ①Why do they think it is a great invention ②Was it used widely at first 3)Listen and repeat. 4)Learn some important language points. In the sentence“Well, you do seem to have a point”, the word “do” is used for emphasizing, and “have a point” means you agree with someone’s opinion. What do the three underlined structures “were listed”, “was invented”, “wasn't used” have in common They all use “was or were done” to talk about the passive voice in simple past tense. 8.Guess a useful invention with the clues given by the teacher. 9.Homework: Level A: Introduce one of the most useful inventions to your parents or friends. Level B: Finnish the exercises on the working sheet.
