教学重点: review present progressive, used to, passive voice, present perfect and modal verbs from meaning, form and use.
2. talk about pollution and environmental protection by using the key structures. 教学难点: 1. use present progressive, used to, passive voice, present perfect and modal verbs properly.
2. use the key structures in context and communication. 3. know more expressions about protecting the environment
教学过程
Lead-in T asks some questions and shows pictures to lead in the topic and present some sentences with the key structures. Q1:What kind of pollution do you know Q2:What do you think of the water Q3:What should we do Presentation T shows some sentences and help Ss review these key structures from their meanings, forms and uses. Review the name of each key structure. Ask the Ss to match each sentence in grammar focus with the grammar structure. Review each structure from meaning, form and use. Practice Read the example sentences of modal verbs and ask Ss: What can we do to save the earth Answer the question above: Fill in the blanks with the appropriate modal verbs from the box in 4b. Read the passage and answer the question. Present the main idea of the passage and ask Ss: What small things did Ken do Answer the questions: Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets (4a). Read the conversation and answer the question. Production Ask Ss to make a discussion about protecting the environment with partners. What small things can we do to help save the earth Make a list of things that people can do to help the environment and discuss the list with partners. Homework Must do: Make a mind map to review present progressive, used to, passive voice, present perfect and modal verbs (meaning, form, use). Choose to do: Make a list of things that people can do to help the environment.
