学情分析
对于七年级的学生，他们保持好奇、活泼的特性，具有一定的思维能力，有自己的主见，不喜欢枯燥、乏味的东西。本单元以”The city of muisic” 为题，是学生非常感兴趣的一个话题，教材呈现的内容贴近学生生活，方便学生表达自己对音乐的认识和喜好。利用多媒体辅助教学课件这些趣味、新颖、生动、形象的东西往往更能激发他们的兴趣，提高他们的学习积极性。
效果分析：
一、通过本单元的学习能够了解有关音乐以及人物的介绍，掌握其细节内容，能够掌握人物介绍的基本方法。
二 、通过任务型课堂学习，学生的自主性得到加强，不再认为英语的学习很枯燥，主动参与到活动中去，成为课堂的主体。
三、差生对读后回答问题和测评练习做的不好。
教学设计：
Step1：Warming-up and Lead in
Give some pictures to the students. Let them watch and then talk about music.
Step2： Study the new words and expressions

Step3：Work in pairs.
Look at the pictures of Activity 1 and describe it. Use the words from the box to help my students.
