学情分析
本节课是人教版八年级英语下Unit 2 I’ll help to clean up the city parks Section B1a-1e部分,学生是初二年级1班的学生。
本节课是以男孩Jimmy帮助他人的故事为主题展开的一节听说课,教学设计上体现了听力教学的过程性,即采用听前、听中、听后的设计方式。目前,大部分学生面对较长的听力材料时还是存在畏难情绪,遇到听不到的句子就慌张不已,进而影响后面的听力内容。针对这一点,教师应该在听前的学习中,安排学生主要学习新的短语动词,为后面的听力活动减轻难度。
另外,由于本节课用的是其他班的学生,第一次与他们接触,所以师生之间缺乏必要的相互了解,学生不是很适应教师的教学方式,上课回答问题不积极,参与教学活动的积极性不高。
同时,学生在语言方面,以鼓励的语言为主,对他们多赞扬,提高他们的自信,从而培养学生良好的阅读习惯,从而树立他们学好英语阅读的信心,提高他们的英语学习能力。在情感目标等方面也需要加强教育,要明白什么是社会正能量,什么是正确的价值观。因此,备课、以及授课过程中,适当的增加趣味性,调动学生积极性。
效果分析

短语动词是本单元一个重点学习内容。前面通过同义词让学生了解四个短语动词的意思,该部分进一步通过同义句的匹配活动让学生进一步体会短语动词的含义以及它们与其同义词或同义词组的用法上的区别。在这一练习中,学生掌握的较好,回答积极,正确率较高。
Match the phrasal verbs with the nouns. Then make sentences with the phrases.
做完1a的练习之后,导入到1b的练习活动。首先让学生根据意思完成短语动词和名词的搭配,组成符合意义的短语。再仿照所给例句,用这些短语编造几个句子。通过造句,巩固单词的用法,从而提高学生的语言运用能力。
这个题目相比1a来说,造句稍微增加了点难度,个别学生由于对于句法结构知识掌握不好,因此在造句时个别句子的成分使用不当。教师在巡视过程中,应该有针对性记录学生犯错的地方,并及时反馈给学生。利用此机会,再讲解一遍基本的句法结构知识,帮助学生学会写正确的句子。
3. Listen and number the pictures [1-4] in the correct order.
在进行听力活动之前,教师利用问答的方式,引导学生读懂1c四幅配图的含义,教授听力中可能导致障碍的生词,如wheel,broken等,为顺利开展听力活动铺平道路。
该题目在以往的教学中出现过,听前的铺垫活动又减轻了听力难度,所以学生完成度较好。

播放第二遍录音,学生按要求完成1d活动,师生集体核对答案。核对答案时,教师应注意引导学生先读出该小题的句子,然后大声说出他们的判断。对于正确的句子,引导学生说出其同义句。对于错误的句子,引导学生继续说出正确的事实。
由于前面对于图片的含义进行了预测和分析,所以这个环节学生基本都能完成的很好。

通过听后的原文填空,能够使学生对整个故事有更深更全面的理解和把握,并为下一步的复述听力材料做好了铺垫。
有了前面的几个环节,这个部分学生大体完成较好。其中,that引导的定语从句这个空格稍有难度。首先是因为初二学生对于定语从句还不太熟悉,对于that的用法和作用不太理解,所以很难预测。其次,that在句子属于非重读词汇,很难辨别,造成识别困难。

引导学生尝试利用1c活动排出的图画顺序和1d活动的文字内容复述课文,既锻炼了学生的语言运用能力,同时又能使学生掌握如何完整地叙述一个故事的能力。还为下一步的1e活动的顺利开展做准备。

该部分活动通过小组合作,在前面几个环节的基础上,让学生讨论Jimmy所做的事情以及他目前遇到的问题。并结合本单元主题相关的如何帮助其他人,针对Jimmy的问题尝试给出建议。
这个环节的提出建议部分属于课外拓展,对学生的语言组织能力提出了较高的要求。部分学生知道如何去帮助Jimmy,但不会组织正确的语言进行表达。因此教师应注意引导学生如何表述正确的句子。

Step 1 Revision and Lead-in.
1. Look and say. Review the words and expressions by describe the pictures.
T: The man is very kind-hearted. He always helps people. Look. What is he doing?
S: He is repairing the bike.
T: We can also say that he is…
S: He is fixing up the bike.
T: Good. Fixing up a thing means repairing a thing.
2. Learn other phrasal verbs in the same way.
Step 2 Work on 1a
1. Read the instructions to the students.
Make sure that each one knows what to do.
2. Let the students look at the sentences in the left column first. Try to explain the four sentences in English for the children, especially the new phrasal verbs in the sentences.
3. Ask the students to match the sentences with similar meanings.
6. Check the answers by asking different students to read their matched sentences.
Step 3 Work on 1b
1. Call the students’ attention to the phrasal verbs in the box. Have four different students explain each phrases in their own words. Make sure each student knows the phrasal verbs’ meanings.
2. Then ask the students to read the instructions together and match the phrasal verbs with the nouns.
3. Let the students make sentences with the words in the box. Walk around the classroom as they write. Offer some help to them if they need.
4. After all of them have finished writing, choose some children who have made some wonderful sentences to share theirs with the class.
Step 4 Listening
1. Before listening, the teacher help the students to understand the 4 pictures on the textbook.
T: Now let’s learn a story about a bike boy—Jimmy. Now let’s look at some pictures about Jimmy. In picture 1, does Jimmy have any money in his pocket? What problem do you think he has?
S: No, he doesn’t. He has run out of money.
2. Talk about other pictures in the same way.
3. Work on 1c
Listen to the tapes and number the pictures.
4. Work on 1d
Let Ss read the sentences in 1d first. Tell Ss to listen again and judge the sentences True or False. When sentence is true, let the students present another sentence that has similar meaning with it. When sentence is false, let the students present another sentence that is true.
5.Try to retell the story.
