Dear community residents,
As we know, dogs are our best friends and can bring happiness to us. However, uncivilized dog-keeping behaviours can sometimes bring troubles to others, such as walking dogs without leashes and turning a blind eye to dog poop in the lawn.
In order to build a civilized community, please obey the following rules. First, get licenses for raising dogs. Second, the dog owners should walk dogs with leashes and keep pets under control at all times. Third, when going out, clean up dog poop in time and properly dispose of it. Fourth, inject dogs with relevant vaccines and carry out regular physical examination every year.
Let’s raise dogs in a civilized way and create a comfortable living environment together.

Nowadays, more and more people are fond of keeping pets because they can bring pleasure. But others don’t think so. They think it’s terrible to do it.
In my opinion, I don’t think it’s good for people to keep pets at home. Why Because too many pets may cause a lot of problems. For example, keeping pets needs us to spend a lot of time taking care of them. My friend Tom keeps a dog at home, and it sometimes disturbs his daily life. Besides, pets breed bacteria and pollute the environment. The dog often barks. That makes our family tired. What’s more, sometimes the pets are dangerous to people.

My dear classmates, I’m so glad to give you a speech here. Let me introduce a film named Hachi: A Dog’s Tale to you. It’s about a story of a dog and its owner, Professor Parker. Parker found a homeless dog at the railway station and took it home. He called it Hachi.
He played with it whenever he was free. Hachi always saw Parker off at the railway station, and then waited for him to get back from work. One day, Parker died of a heart attack, but Hachi still waited for him at the railway station every day. Hachi had waited for its owner for ten years until it died.
The film moved me a lot. Hachi is the most faithful dog I have ever known. Dogs are our faithful friends. Let’s care for them.

Recently we had a heated discussion on whether people should keep pets at home in cities.
Some students think it’s a good idea to keep pets because lonely people can get some comfort from pets. Besides, getting along well with animals will make our life interesting. People who own pets will have more chances to walk, and then they can have more time to communicate with others. However, the other students are against the idea. In their opinions, if too many people keep pets at home, it is bad for the environment. What’s worse, pets may make too much noise and even attack people.
I don’t think it’s bad to keep pets at home. But we must take some measures to prevent them from polluting our environment and hurting people.
