教学目标
Language goal: To master some words, phrases and sentence patterns about daily activities:quarter,past,do one’s homework, run,clean one’s room, take a walk,What time /When do you usually ... -I usually...at/in/on. To grasp how to express time in different ways. Ability goals Ss will be able to read time with ‘past’and ‘to’. Ss can listen and talk about their routines and times. Emotional goals Cultivate Ss to arrange their time properly and form a healthy living habit.

教学重点: 1.Express time and use ‘past’and‘to’correctly.
2.Listen and talk about students’ routines and times.
教学难点: 1.Learn how to tell the differences between ‘past’and ‘to’.
2.Learn how to talk about daily routines and have a healthy lifestyle.
教学过程
Teaching procedures: Before listening: Step1: Guessing game It has no feet but it can walk with its hands.It has no mouth but it can speak to you. It calls trick,trick and trick every day. Guess what it is --It is a clock (implications: to arouse students’ interest and lead in the topic) Step2:Read the time Introduce 4 different ways to read time o’clock(express the meaning of ‘AM’ and ‘PM’ and lead in some new words like middy,noon and midnight.) ‘hour+minute’ ‘minute past hour’ ’60-minute to hour+1’ (implications: to master different ways to express the time and get preparations for listening) Step3: Practice Show ss some pictures of clocks and ask them to read time in different ways. (implications: consolidate the knowledge they have just learned) Step4: 1a introduce teacher’s friend ,the interviewer and lead in the topic of 1a. Guide ss to finish 1a (implications: cultivate ss to cherish time and arrange the time properly for their activities.) Step5: Pair work Ss are asked to make a conversation about their daily activities on school days with their partners. Example: Lily:What do you usually do on school days Amy:I usually... Lily:What time do you usually... Amy:I usually...at... (implications: review the daily activities they have learned and put the new knowledge into use.) Step6: Prediction The interviewer is asking Tom about his daily activities. Lead ss to predict what Tom usually does on his school days and learn the new phrases in the meantime. (implications: learn the new phrases about daily activities and get preparations for listening) While-listening Step7:listening Listen and try to write down what Tom does on school days in the clock. Listen again and write down the exact time. Listen again and answer the questions and help the understand the importance of intonation ans stress in order to find out the interviewer’s opinion. Aslo, ss can learn that Tom has a healthy life. (implications:to make ss grasp and train the listening skills) Post-listening Step7: read and repeat Ask ss the read after the record(pay attention to the intonation and stress) (implications: to train ss’ speaking and reading abilities) Step8:Further thinking How does the interviewer get to know Tom’s day --By asking follow-up questions. (implications: introduce follow-up questions to ss) Step9:Pair work Guide ss to do a a survey about their partner's daily routines on weekends as an interviewer. After that they are going to give a report. (implications: to consolidate knowledge) Step10:Homework 1.try finish the exercises on the worksheet and write a passage according to your report. 2.If you can, try to interview your family members about their daily routines and give a report.
